I knocked on the door of cabin three, but nobody responded. Nothing was heard through the building.
I started pounding on the door, getting glances from the amphitheater where all of the other campers sat. But I kept banging on the door. Still, no response.
I rammed into the door with all the force I had and the door swung open, to show an empty cabin.
"Percy?" I called. No reply. He had to be in here somewhere, unless he was somewhere else, like the canoe lake. But I hadn't seen him go down there.
"Percy!" I shouted again, and I heard a soft thud. I traced the thud to a bathroom coming off of the back wall and opened the door.
