We all sat around a rather large round table in Slughorn's personal quarters. There was mostly light chit chat. "What do your parents do in the muggle word?" He asked Hermione. "My parents are dentists, they attend to peoples teeth." She said rather embarrassed.  "Fascinating, and is this considered a dangerous profession?" He asked. Everyone turned there attention towards her. "No, although..." I stopped listening after that.

Then Ginny came in and Harry stood up awkwardly. I glanced at him and smirked. I knew he really did love her. Just the way he looked at her you can tell in his eyes.

Soon the first Quidditch game came up. First it was Slytherin VS Gryffindor. Then right after that it was Ravenclaw VS Hufflepuff. Most people went to both games, but I was pretty nervous so I had to walk it off. I strolled off through the castle in my quidditch robes.

Then I saw Malfoy turn a corner. Why do I keep running into him? "Malfoy!" I yell. He seemed to be in a hurry. He quickened his pace and adjusted his tie nervously. "Wait!" I call again. This time he turns around reluctantly. "Why aren't you at the games? I thought you loved Quidditch." I say, remembering his sneering in the past. "I have far more important things to be dealing with." I wonder what he could be talking about.

"And what might that be?" I press. "You are far too nosy for your own good. And Potter...I thought I said before, leave me alone." He tries to turn away but I catch his arm. "You cursed Katie bell didn't you?" I hiss. "I did not." He says. He touches his collar. "You cursed Katie bell. For your sake, you better hope she doesn't remember a thing." I say very close to his face.

"There would be nothing to remember." He insists. He slides his arm away from me and starts walking again. I see something now. He is vulnerable, he doesn't know what he could be getting himself into. "Malfoy, remember it is far easier to get yourself into something then it is to work your way out." He turns around and almost seems to be glaring at me, but considering at the same time. He says not a word and turns sharply on his heel.

We win the game pretty quickly. The snow made it much harder to play in. Hufflepuff is, good but we are just better. I scored 3 times and my other chasers scored many as well. Then our seeker caught the snitch faster then usual.

After the game many people pat me on the back telling me I did great. I find Luna who is waiting for me at the edge of the pitch. "You did wonderfully! I just hope we will be able to beat Gryffindor in a few weeks." She says. "Thanks, how about a bit of tea and we get out of this cold weather."

It is dark outside as me and Luna make our way to the castle. I look up at the snow covered towers. "I never really realized how beautiful this place really was." I say to Luna smiling. I feel very happy right now. I really do in this moment feel alive.

As I am gazing up I see a figure looking out from the astronomy tower. I can tell from down here it is Malfoy. Suddenly I am slightly afraid he might jump. "Luna i'll catch up with you." I walk faster towards the castle and as soon as I'm am inside I start sprinting.

I climb stair after stair until I am finally at the top. I here a whimper. Draco Malfoy is...crying? "Draco..." I feel the urge not to use his last name for it would seem very inappropriate. He jumps nearly a foot in the air. He brutally wipes his cheeks and pulls out his wand. "Stop following me everywhere I go. I already have a shadow, I don't need another." He yells sternly.

"What are they making you do." I ask. "They are not making me do anything. GET AWAY FROM ME!" He yells. I take a step backwards. "No." I return. "Please." He croaks. I know this boy just wants to be alone. I can't leave him, not like this...even if it is...him.

"Look you and I don't exactly see eye to eye, but I am not leaving a broken boy." I sit down on the step. "Don't you dare call me broken." He says. "Let me lay it out for you, You come from a family for pure blood which means they are all prejudice murderers working for Voldemort. You as having come of a useful age, seemed most promising. Whatever it is they are making you do is not working out to well because you are not a killer. You are far more broken then you realize." I say sharply.

He sucks in a deep breath allowing me to know all of the things I have already said were true. He looks at me angrily. "Why can't you get it through your thick scull that I don't need help? I am not broken and neither is my family. Now get out before I break you nose just like your brothers." He hisses in the most terrifying tone. It actually scares me. I stand up to go but before I walk out I turn to him and say, "Just so you know, even when you feel most alone, there are always people who are willing to help. I am can be pretty good crutch too you know. Do me a favor though and... don't jump." I say.

"What would it matter to you Potter. It isn't as if anyone would notice." He says glumly. "More then you know." I stalk off hoping I had convinced him.
