Talkative
₪
Later that night, Leo snuck out of her window in a pair of black leggings, a black long long sleeve shirt, black sneakers, a black scarf around the bottom half of her face, and a black hoodie with the hood pulled up. Her hair was pulled into a tight, low bun and hairsprayed down her curls to keep her hair hidden.
The second Leo was on the ground, she jogged over to an apartment building and climbed the fire escape until she made it to the roof. There she took a deep breath, faced the next building over and broke into a sprint before stepping right off the edge of the building.
Under Leo's feet, she focused energy to create a bridge connecting both buildings. She ran on the top of building after building, her powers sometimes creating bridges or stairs or a ramp depending on the height of the building. The physical energy was clear with a white glow around it, almost shining like glass.
After around an hour of running over building after building, Leo found herself standing in an alleyway with a can of white spray paint, creating a tag she put all over New York City. It was the three-dimensional triangle illusion she doodled earlier that day in class. With a sigh, she finished the tag and tossed the empty spray can to the side.
"Someone's going to have to clean that up, you know," A voice rung out throughout the alleyway.
Leo gasped and turned around quickly to see an upside-down guy in a blue and red ensemble hanging from a spider web. His face was hidden behind a homemade mask that was red with goggles sown on to cover the eyes. He had a red hoodie on with a black spider drawn on his chest with a sharpie and blue sweats tucked into knee-high red boots.
Leo and the spider vigilante stayed where they were in silence, Leo watching as he slowly turned himself upright and let go of the spiderweb. She eyed the can of spray paint and then the tag before looking back to him. She took a sharp breath before quickly turning and running for the exit of the alleyway.
"Come on, man, can't you just make this easy?" Spiderman groaned and with a flick of his wrist, a spiderweb shot from the contraption around his wrist and gripped onto her hand.
Leo let out a yelp as she was tugged back towards Spiderman. Without thinking, she turned and stuck her foot out, slamming it against his chest and knocking him on his back. Leo ripped the web from her wrist and ran for the back of the alleyway where there was a metal chain linked fence. Quickly, she used her powers to make steps leading to the top of the fence, making it disappear as she jumped over the fence.
"Woah," Spiderman whispered to himself before getting up and chasing after the hooded figure, easily jumping over the fence. "How did you do that? Do you have some crazy mutant powers or something? That's so cool! Can you show me? What else can you do?"
Leo rolled her eyes, wondering if he was always so talkative when chasing criminals. Quickly, she spun around and held out her hands, watching as a white force field surrounded Spiderman and entrapped him in the bubble. Leo couldn't hear him but she watched as he poked at the force field and seemed to examine it. She felt herself getting drained from using her powers for so long and waited for the perfect moment to run.
