Awesomest

Leo and Peter finished their project easily since Peter had already read the five chapters. After they finished their project, they ended up spending time together a lot outside of school, more than they originally thought they would. From Decathlon practice after school to Leo always seeing Peter getting breakfast at the cafe she worked at. Mornings on the weekends Peter always came to the OK Cafe asking for a donut and some hot chocolate. Leo eventually had his order memorized and had it set to the side for him to just grab, leave money, and go. Peter even knew the exact amount for it and left that amount where she left his food for him.

"Guys," Elena gasped as she stared down at her phone with wide eyes. "Did you see the new Mirage and Spiderman video posted?"

Leo, Elijah, and Elena sat at the lunch table with Peter and Ned, Elena sitting next to Ned on one side while Leo sat between Elijah and Peter on the other. At the mention of Mirage and Spiderman, Leo's attention snapped up towards Elena, as did everyone else. Leo nervously shoved three bites of her sandwich in her mouth and looked down at her tray of food, Elijah giving her a quick side glance before turning back to Elena.

"What's the video?" Ned asked, leaning over towards Elena as he tried to look at the screen on her phone. "Oh, yeah! I saw that one! Mirage and Spiderman literally stopped a car moving at high-speeds! Isn't that awesome, guys?!"

"Oh, yeah."

"So cool."

"The awesomest."

For the rest of lunch Leo, Peter, and Elijah sat eating their food and listening to Ned and Elena conspire about who they thought Mirage and Spiderman were, and how they got their powers. Elena thought they must be in their twenties and were probably married or dating since they always fought crime together. Ned thought it'd be cool if they were just high school students like them with just cool powers they used for good.

"How about you, Leo?" Ned asked, eagerly looking across the table at the curly haired girl, who hummed with a mouthful of food. "Mirage and Spiderman. What do you think of them?

"I don't know," Leo shrugged after swallowing her food. "I-I mean, Spiderman looks like a guy out of a comic book and Mirage looks a little tacky, don't you think?"

"Looks tacky?" Elijah asked with a raised eyebrow. Leo bit back her smirk and turned to him.

"Yeah," Leo pushed, sending him a quick and unnoticed wink by anyone but him. "I mean, the triangle illusion on her chest? And the name? Kinda seems less hero-y and more villain-y. Right, Peter?"

Peter's head shot up from looking down at his tray, his eyes widening. He hadn't wanted to put an opinion on Spiderman or Mirage since he didn't want to seem suspicious, but if he said nothing now that he was being put on the spot then he'd seem more suspicious then he would not saying anything.
