Chapter 8

This was the last 2 days before I left for school. I thought about the great sex Quan I had the other day. I haven't talked to him since the fight we had. I'm still mad as fuck at him. This is the longest we haven't spoken after a fight. I kinda miss him. Ironically he texted me.

I wanna talk to you in person. 5:16pm

k. 5:18pm

I already knew what was coming. He'll apologize & tell me how much he misses me & all that good shit I always fall for.

"so what you wanna talk to me about?", Quan stood before me scratching his head trying to make out what he wanted to say. "look, I wanted to tell you I was sorry. ian have no right to touch you like I did. I just don't want you living wit no nigga ion know shit about but I guess I gotta be okay wit dat cuz you needa go to school nshit." I didn't know what to say for a minute. I thought back to what Mia said. I shouldn't be with someone who gets so angry that they have to use their hands to retaliate, besides, Quan has nothing going for himself. All he does is chill with his niggas & sit on his ass.

"okay, I accept your apology Quan." like I always did. He smiled happily "just promise me one thing baby", "what?"

"make sho' you don't catch no feelings for dis nigga or nun like dat"

as I brung him into a hug I replied smiling "Quan, I'm not. chill" It was cute when he got jealous but it was no need at all for him to be jealous.

"I'm gonna miss you Erie", Mia pouted with her lip poking out.

"I'm gonna miss you too Mia" My mom threw a little going-away cookout at my grandmas house for me. Since I didn't have too many friends, there were only a few people there including my family.

"I hope you didn't mind but trey & his little crew came along" Mia said while walking off

I was in my room reminiscing about the good times. Even though it was a cookout for me, I wasn't around everyone. I had to finish packing. Quan stood in my door "whatchu thinking about babygirl?" I blushed. I loved when he called me babygirl. "oh nothing, just thinking about how much I'll miss everyone".

"ima miss you too baby" Quan said.

"who said I'll miss you?" I replied jokingly. "aw dats fucked up shawty"

I put my arms around his waist "I'm just kidding baby, of course I'll miss you!"

Quan and I decided to go in the backyard where everyone else was to get something to eat.

"Erin, wassup girl" I turned around standing next to Quan. "oh hey Kj!" He put his arms around my neck giving me a friendly hug. He smelled so good & looked even better. He had on a white tee, grey joggers, and blue Nike roshe runs on his feet, to top it off, he had on a gold watch. Out the corner of my eye, I could see Quan side-eyeing Kj.

"oh Quan, this is Kj, my roommate. roommate this Quan"

Quan said "yeah her boyfriend" putting emphasis on "boyfriend".

"wassup bruh" Kj put his hand out for a dap but Quan just nodded. Kj acted as if he never had his hand out but I caught that.

"so you ready to go down to the norf?" Kj said while licking his full lips, they looked so good. I felt bad for thinking about them while Quan was right beside me.

"yeah, pretty much. I haven't finished packing but I'm ready"

"that's goo--" Quan cut Kj off "I'm bout to go sit over there"

"okay baby." I could tell he was getting jealous. As he walked off Kj began to say in his cute southern accent "seem like sum up wit ya boy"

"yeah, im gonna see what's wrong with him, I'll catch up with you later."

"aite, I can help you get yo stuff in the mornin' if you want me to"

"oh yeah, that sounds good I'll give you a call you in the morning" I begin to walk off towards Quan.

"I saw da way you was looking at bruh"

"oh you mean the way you & the waitress was looking at eachother?" referring to last week when we went out to eat "....besides I wasn't looking at him in no kind of way, you're just thinking that Quan."

He sounded annoyed "aite..."

The rest of the night consisted of me bonding with my family. We talked about the good times.

"Don't you go down there getting into stuff you have no business getting into Erin" My mom said while holding the door for me & Kj. Kj came early in the morning to help me load all my belongings in the car. I had a lot of things so some stuff he put into his car.

"I'm not ma" I chuckled. My mom was the complete opposite of me. She was blunt with everything, saying what she wanted to say with no worries. I saw Quan's sister car pulling into the parking lot. When Quan got out, he looked kinda mad.

I'm guessing he spotted Kj.

"da fuck he here for?" Quan asked.

"he's helping me pack my things in the car."

"you coulda asked me"

"Quan, I didn't know you were gonna come this early, he has stuff that couldn't fit into my car anyway." Quan walked into my apartment without saying anything.

"thanks for helping Kj."

"you welcome, guess Ill see you later"

"alright." Kj sped off in his red impala with chrome rims bumping Migos-First 48.

I went back inside to eat breakfast while I waited until Mia got here. She said she would come to say her final goodbye. I spotted Quan eating mcdonalds in the kitchen, he didn't look my way.

"I see you didn't bring me mcdonalds." I said to him with my arms acros my chest.

"shoulda asked "Kj"" he mocked in a female voice.

"Eriiiin" Mia yelled throughout the house.

"I'm right here girl" I saw Mia holding a small pink bag with silver dots.

"I got you something" she handed me the bag. inside was a silver pandora bracelet with letter charms that spelled sisters. I looked up & Mia had her arm out showing a bracelet that looked the same.

"aw Mia! I love you!"

"I love you too girl!" she said while giving me a hug.

"well I just wanted to drop this off and say my final goodbyes, I told my dad I would help him out with some things"

"oh okay, well bye girl! ima miss you!"

"ima miss you too Erin! I hope you find somebo--" I reached my hand out telling her to shut up. I whispered "Quan's in the kitchen" she rolled her eyes. "ugh, get rid of him." "bye Mia." I said while basically pushing her out the door.
