I woke up at 6 in the morning today. I know. 6 IN THE MORNING. No wake up calls. No sigaw from yaya or kuya telling me to get up. I woke up willingly.
Bakit?
Easy. Kase may pasok today.
Okay, maybe you think I'm weird kase
1) These past days, I've woken up with the desire to go back to bed.
2) Walang taong nasa tamang isip ay gigising ng maaga at masaya na may pasok.
Well, guess what?
Nagising ako na nakangiti kase may pasok today.
Alam mo anong ibig sabihin nun?
Yes. Homework, projects, lectures, tests, exams, and every other legal torture method in the schoolbook.
But it also means na makikita ko si Anthony. 😍
In a school of over a thousand students, how will I find him? Well, nung nagchat kami for the remainder of the winter break he kept asking about the cafe. Eventually, sinabi ko na I will meet him there after school. So yes. I'm gonna catch him there. And who knows, if luck is on my side, baka makita ko siya sa mga hallways.
Knock knock
"Pasok!" Sabi ko.
"Ay, himala! Gising siya!" Sabi ni Ash in a genuinely shocked voice.
"Oo naman kuya. Excited na ako bumalik sa impyerno." I said sarcastically.
Then, out of nowhere, biglang kumanta si kuya.
"For the first time in forever!"
"KUYA! ANO BA?! Masyadong maaga para umulan. Maiistorbo mo ang mga kapitbahay."
"Ayy. Grabe siya. Oh sige nga, kanta ka, we'll see who's better." Kuya challenged me.
"Kuya, alam ko naman na gusto mo lang marinig ang aking angelic voice."
"Wow. Hiyang hiya. Oh, sya nga pala, hindi kita madrop this month. May inaasikaso kasi ako sa work ko sa umaga bago ako pumapasok sa klase eh. Speaking of, kailangan ko nang umalis. Magcommute ka nalang ha?"
"Ano kuya? MAGCOMMUTE?! Alam mo naman na I hate, detest, loathe, despise, at lahat lahat ng mga synonyms ng HATE, commuting. Kuya, sige na please."
"Sorry Len. Wala talaga akong choice eh. Basta, ingat ka ha? I love you."
"I love you din kuya."
WHAT TO DO WITH LIFE.
Can't I just ask Anthony to come pick me up? Ayy, nagcocommute rin pala siya. Haii. I guess kailangan ko narin magcommute.
Beep beep
Huh? Sino kaya yun?
"Len! Are you coming with or what?"
Si Eric ba yun?
I look out my window. AH! Si Eric nga yun!
"Eric! You're a lifesaver! Hintayin mo na muna ako."
Bago ako naligo, sinabihan ko na muna si yaya na papasukin si Eric at bigyan ng almusal dahil for sure hindi yan kumain.
Pagkatapos kong maligo at magbihis, bumaba na ako to greet Eric. Naka school uniform kaming dalawa, and just as I said, hindi talaga siya kumain ng almusal.
"Huy. Leave some for me will ya? Wag mo naman kainin ang lahat." Sabi ko
"Ayy, sorry. 😅 I missed your mom's cooking. I brought you coffee." He said.
