Chapter 1: Camp

Ash: "Len, huy gising na."

It was currently 6 in the morning, at alam ni kuya na ayaw na ayaw kong gumising ng maaga, especially since it's a Saturday. Plus Christmas break pa.

Me: "Kuyaaaa!! Ang aga aga! Ano ba! Its break tas gigisingin mo ako sa oras na to!"😡😪

Ash: "Ano pa ang ginagawa mo dyan? Bangon na! May pupuntahan tayo!"

Me: "Kuya, akala ko mamayang hapon pa tayo pupunta sa resort."

Ash: "Hindi na tayo pupunta sa resort."

Obviously, nagulat ako so bumangon ako agad. Pumupunta ung fam ko sa resort na yun for family reunions ever since I could remember!😱

Me: "Bakit kuya? Busy ba si mama at papa?"

Ash: "Hindi. Pupunta sila. Tayo lang hindi."

Me:"Kasama si Lex?"

Si Lex ung bunso namin. Short sya for Alexander.

Ash: "Yup."

Me: "Uggghh... Bakit ba kuya? Saan ba tayo pupunta at kailangan natin mamiss ung family reunion natin?" 😒

Ash: "May camp tayong pupuntahan. Inimbita tayo ni tita Mary from Church, naalala mo? Well, sabi ni mama na okay lang naman na mag skip tayo ng fam reunion this year."

Camp? Omahgulay!!! Nakalimutan ko pala! Tsk.😧

Me: "Kuya, di pa ako naka empake." 😅

Ash: "Tsk. Yan kase. Sabi ko na nga ba ehh..Ang suwerte mo  talaga na ako yung kuya mo 😏 Don't worry, sinabihan ko na si manang na magempake ng mga gamit mo kagabi. Nandun na sa sasakyan."

Me: "Hai, salamat sa Diyos."

Ash: "Ahem." 😒

Me: "Ahh, salamat na rin pala kuya." 😊😅

Ash: "Oh, ano pang hinihintay mo? Bilisan mo nang maligo! 7 A.M. ang call time natin! Bilis!"

Chineck ko ung orasan at 6:15 na pala. 😨 15 minutes to get ready!

15  minutes later

Ash: "LEN, BILIS! PAALIS NA KAMI!"

Me: "Okay kuya! Andito na ako!" 😥

Sumakay ako ng kotse, no questions asked. Kuya looked mad. He never likes to be late. I have a feeling na ako ung sole cause ng headache sa buhay ni kuya Ash 😂😅

Ash: "Ready ka na ba to meet new friends? Baka may kilala ka naman rin doon. Wag kang magalala. Nandito naman ako eh."

Me: "Para pahiyain ako??"

Ash: "Of course! Para san pa? What are kuyas for?" 😏

Pagdating namin doon, the place wasn't really that packed. The only people there were tita Mary and some other kids na hindi ko kilala.

Tita Mary: "Hello guys! Pasok, pasok." 😊

Sinundan namin si Tita Mary papunta sa loob ng camp.

Well, let me explain nalang. This camp isn't the type of camp na matutulog ka sa gubat or anything like that. Sa camp na to, we'll be learning about God and other Church things that is important for our age to know. For example, relationships, marriage, and how the Church fits into that. The only reason they call it a camp is because matutulog kami sa sahig.😒

Kuya Ash was actually right about seeing people I knew before. Nakita ko si ate Diana at ang kapatid nyang si Daisy. Magkapitbahay kami noon.

Diana: "ROSE!!!" 😄

Did I mention my name was Rose? Well, my full name is Alena Rose Villar, or Len for short. 😊 Nung bata pa ako, my old yaya would always call me Rose. As time went by, my yaya had to quit her job to do better things. She is currently VP of marketing in LifePlus Co.

Me: "Hi ate Diana! Long time no see, ahh! I've missed you and Daisy."

After catching up with them, I found out that ate Diana was actually our assistant head. Our head was actually kuya's best friend, kuya Tristan. Kuya Tristan was actually really nice. Misan, he'd give off a girly vibe, pero he's got a girlfriend so 😕 no judge 😉

Once the camp started, they called everyone inside the building kase some were outside playing basketball. Typical boys 😒

When they all came in though, they were so pawis and they looked really tired so they decided to go cool down next to the fan.

And that, my dear readers, ang unang beses na nakita ko siya.

I'm sorry. First of all I know that it was too short, even for me. And sorry to leave you guys at a cliffhanger. But wait, there will be more. Promise 😉. Di ako paasa 😉. You can count on me.

Oh, and kudos to YFCs who are reading this. YES! I AM YFC. This was actually our camp. Well, it was based on the camp. I just added tweaks here and there. If you're not a YFC, it's not really important ☺ But I suggest you join 😉
