Chapter 6 - I will take CARE of you

Jay's POV

I hear shouting and crying.

What could it be?

Who could it be?

I run quickly. But what my eyes saw crushed my heart and filled me up with pure anger and hatred.

"HOY! TIGILAN NYO SYA!"

The bullies look at me and smile.

Liza looks at me. Blood is on her face, I see her have messy hair and big bruises, I couldn't help but shed a few tears.

*Breathing heavier*

I am in rage at those bullies.

How can they do this to her!?

I stop hesitating and quickly run to Liza.

Gusto kong bugbogin yung mga yun. Grrr

Pero kailangan ko muna tulungan si Liza.

I carry her in my arms, trying not to put her in more pain by touching her wounds.

I decided to take her home.

We arrived, pero naka-lock yung bahay nila at parang walang tao.

I take her to my house, para ma-treat ang wounds nya.

I put her down carefully on my bed and grab the first aid kit.

Liza's POV

Lying on the ground being beaten up.

Nag slo-mo bigla ang mundo ko.

Naka-higa dun, wala manlang magawa.

At least mga buto ko ang binebreak nila, meron naman akong 206. Pag puso ko kasi, isa lang yun

I was losing all hope. then...

"HOY! TIGILAN NYO SYA!"

Tinigil ng mga bullies ang pag-sipa at bugbog sakin.

I look at where the voice came from.

Si Jay. I look at him with my helpless eyes.

I see a few tears run down his face before he came barging towards me.

He helped me get up then carried me.

Walang tao sa bahay namin at naka-lock kaya dun ako dinala ni Jay sa kanila.

I sit in his bed patiently habang kinukuha nya yung first aid kit.

Jay came into the room with the first aid kit.

He sat down next to Liza and started treating her wounds.

Liza - Jay, dapat bumalik ka sa school

Jay - Sasamahan muna kita. Nag-aalala ako sayo Liza

Liza - Pero ayaw ko naman na mag miss out ka sa klase

Jay - Mas importante ka naman

Liza - Di mo ko kailangan alagaan

Jay - Oo nga, pero I WILL take care of you. I care about you Liza

Those words left Liza speechless. All she could say was "Thank you"

Jay's POV

I finish treating her wounds.

I really care about Liza.

I might not have realised it pero parang napamahal na ako kay Liza.

Basta from now on, I will always be here for Liza and be by her side.

I want to hold her hand.

I hesitate at first but I slowly held her hand and kiss it.

She stares into my eyes, while I stare into hers.

Her eyes are just so beautiful. I could describe it as, mesmerising.

Jay - Liza...

I let go of her hand and hug her.

Jay - I'm so sorry

Liza - Bakit naman? wala ka namang ginawang kasalanan sakin

Jay - Wala kasi ako dun, di kita na-protektahan

Tears fill my eyes and make their way down my cheek.

I can't look at Liza, I'm too ashamed.

Liza puts her hand on my cheek and tilts my face so that I'm looking at her.

She wipes away my tears.

And even in her state of being in pain after being beaten up, she can still smile.

Her charming smile that to me is worth a million dollars.

We spend the rest of the day together, resting, talking and playing games

I did my best to cheer her up and comfort her.
