Our Affection

1. The first meeting

There he is, wearing a black suit.He has a fair skin and with his deep voice he says"Will you marry me?" Suddenly,the alarm rings.Nina wakes up and remembers the dream."I hate this.I was going to see his face."Nina says while going towards bathroom.
After finishing her shower she starts making coffee for herself and for her bestfriend Sara.

Nina POV :

"Hey" Sara said to me. "Hey girl. What's up?" I said giving her coffee. "All good. Are you busy tonight?" Sara asked me. "Nope.Why?" I replied immediately."Good because we are attending a party."Sara said. I looked at her with a confused look. "Okay, there's party from uncle Tom and he asked me to bring you too."

Uncle Tom is my favourite uncle.He is Sara's uncle and my father's best friend. He has a son who lives in Canada so I haven't met him but heard alot from Sara. Few years ago, when my parents died in a car accident, he and his wife, Ana, took care of me untill I graduated. Then I moved out from their house and started living in this apartment.He was not happy with this decision however he didn't stop me.Since then I haven't met him.
I thought it's perfect time to meet uncle again. So without thinking twice I said ok.

Sara and I decided to get ready in Sara's house.Then after some hours,we went to the party.Sara is talking to everyone but as I don't know anyone so I decided to have a drink. After taking a drink, I started looking for uncle Tom.I found uncle Tom talking to a guy. I decided to go there.

"Hello uncle." I said smiling gently. "Oh,Nina. After a long time." Uncle Tom said with a big smile. We talked for a while then he introduced to the guy who was beside him. Suddenly uncle Tom said "Nina. He's Zach, my son."
I looked at him and greeted him. We talked for a while and then Sara came and took me to dance. "Isn't Zach handsome?" Sara said to me. She always used to say me that his brother,Zach is very handsome and successful. I couldn't deny. He was indeed a very handsome man with a good personality. "Well, he's good looking" I said and laughed. Then Sara started talking about her new boyfriend. She makes new boyfriend every week. So I wasn't surprise hearing about her new boyfriend.

Sara and I, we both were drunk. So we decided to take a cab. As we were waiting for cab, Zach came and said that he would drop us both. It was late so we decided to go with him. Sara asked me to sit on the front seat. I was so nervous while sitting next to him.

Sara slept immediately as Zach started driving. At first we both were silent. I thought of breaking the silence. "I am sorry that you had to drop us. I wanted to stay sober but Sara insisted me to drink." I said to Zach in just one breath.At first,Zach looked at me continuously.His beautiful eyes were staring me which gave me butterflies in stomach.Without breaking the eye contact,he said,"It's fine.Sara is my sister and it is my responsibility to take care of her and her bestfriend."

Then Zach dropped us to Sara's home. Zach helped me to take Sara up to the sitting room. As he was leaving, I thought to thank him again. I rushed to thanked him but suddenly I slipped and was going to fall but Zach hold my hand. Then again our eyes met and his look made me shiver. Suddenly Sara called my name. Zach and I stood up very awkwardly. He then said goodbye and went.
