13. Our place

So it was Saturday. I decided to wear jeans pant and a plain black T-shirt. It was already 5. So I curled my hair and put some makeup.

At 6:15, the door bell rang. I opened the door and saw Zach, handsome as always, wearing white pant and black T-shirt. Same colour t-shirt, what a coincidence. I greeted him and he greeted me. He had surprise for me so he blindfolded me.

He had already started the car now. I could assume that we were out of main road because there was no sound of any vehicles. The environment was peaceful. I could hear the sound of birds and sound of leaves. After sometime, he told me to come out of the car. He held my hand and we started walking.

We walked for around 30 minutes. He entered some codes and then he told me to open my eyes and when I opened it, I saw a very beautiful cabin with a swimming pool. The cabin was surrounded by trees.

"So, how is my surprise?" Zach said me. I was speechless all I could do was hug him and thank him. He in return hugged me tightly. Then he held my hand and took me inside the cabin.

There was a beautiful dinner table decorated with flowers. He pulled the chair for me. I sat and he poured me some wine. We had a delicious meal.

He also said me that this was his own cabin. The place where he came when he wanted to forget everything and relax. And he said that from today I could also come here whenever I wanted. He gave me the code to enter.
I thanked him again.

Now it was time for truth. I knew he was very nervous to tell me the truth but he didn't know no matter what the truth was my feelings for him won't change.

We sat outside dipping our leg inside the swimming pool. Then Zach started talking.

" So, Nina. It was during my high school. At that time I was very close with my parents, especially my dad. He was my superhero. I wanted to become like him. We were very happy. But on my 18th birthday, everything changed. I found out that my father had cheated on my mother and he had a daughter just 5 years younger than me. The worst was that my mom knew about this and had forgiven him. I felt like my whole life was based on a lie."

I got shocked. I never thought that uncle Tom could do something like this. He was so kind to me. He and Ana were like parents to me. I squeezed his hands slowly trying to  reassure him.

Again Zach started speaking. "And that girl, my half-sister was Zoe, the one you met few days ago in my apartment. Nina, I don't blame her. It's not her fault. She also didn't know anything about this until I knew. I truly love her as my sister. And oddly we became very close. She came to meet me that day when you were in my apartment so she was in my apartment."

After knowing she was his sister, I felt embarrassed how I thought she was his girlfriend.

Somehow Zach understood how I was feeling and told me that there was nothing to feel ashamed of because I didn't know the true that time.

"So Nina, this is my secret. After knowing everything I couldn't stay with my parents so I went to Canada and eventually I became distant with them."

"Will you ever forgive them?" I asked Zach because maybe they did mistake by not telling him the truth but I knew how much uncle Tom loved Ana. I still couldn't believe he cheated on her.

"I don't know. It's just hard to forgive." Zach said . I saw sadness in his eyes. All I wanted at that moment was to make him happy and forget about this. "I am so sorry Zach." And then I kissed him. After sometime he kissed me back. This kiss was very passionate. I could feel how truly he wanted me through that kiss.

Every touch of him gave me butterflies all over my body. I never felt this way before. I felt like I was made for him and he was made for me. Like I was his missing piece and he was mine. He was all I needed. He was my hope for happiness. I felt safe with him. All I knew was only he could make me happy and sad so quickly.

Well then we made out for sometime and then slept together cuddling each other. I was so tired that I felt asleep soon. All I remember was he kissed me on my forehead and said goodnight.
