It was in the middle of the afternoon, three days after my date with Nick. It was quiet in the house except for the TV that was on in the living room. I walked into the living room and saw B on his phone. "Hey," I said. "Hey," he said and motioned for me to sit. "We need to talk," I said. Brandon nodded and he put his phone down.
"So remember that day you came with Nick to my house and you saw me crying?" I asked. Brandon nodded. "I came back from the hospital that day, and I found out that my kidney is failing again," I said. "No," Brandon said. I nodded and tears started to fall down his cheek. "You can have mine," he said. "No Brandon," I said. "Why not Kay?" he asked, "Because Brandon I just don't want to take that from you," I said. Brandon sighed and I pulled him into a hug. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier. I just wanted to be alone," I said. "But please don't tell Nick yet, I want to tell him," I added. Brandon nodded.
We stayed like that for what seemed like forever. Brandon cried and I tried my best to not let the tears fall. "I'm going to be there for you Kay, I promise," he said. I believed him. Every promise he has made to me he has fulfilled it. I smiled and he pulled away from me. The boys walked in and they all sat on the couch. "So Kay, did you see Nicks post?" Ed said and smirked. I shook my head. Ed motioned to my phone and I went to instagram to see what he posted.

prettymuchluv your ex was betterI nodded and Edwin looked at me confused. "I'm going to get some air," I said. The boys nodded and I walked outside the house. The sky was a light pink. It was beautiful. If Brandon saw those comments he would understand why I was like this. I always cared about what people thought of me, and made it a habit to try and get them to like me. "Are you okay?" Nick asked behind me. I turned to him and nodded. "I saw the comments," he said. "And don't listen to them. Okay?" he told me. I nodded. "Please don't," he said. "If anything, I don't deserve you," he said. Nick cupped my face in his hands. I smiled and grabbed his wrist. "By the way, I liked your tweet the other day," he said. I chuckled, "I think your hot too," he said. I smiled, "Brandon wrote that, but I do agree with him," I said. Nick smiled and he leaned down to kiss me.
"So are you busy tomorrow?" I asked. "We have an interview, but after no," he said. I nodded, "Let's go out. I'll plan it all," I said. Nick chuckled, "Sounds like a plan," he said and kissed me. We walked inside and the boys smiled at me. "You good?" B asked. I nodded and he smiled at me. "Are there any skating rinks around?" I asked. Zion nodded, "Can we go to one!" I asked excitedly. The boys laughed, "Yeah sure, let's go right now," Zion said. "Right now?" I asked. He nodded, "Now," he said. "You must learn Kay, that we just don't care. If we want to go to the skating rink then we will," Zion said and stood up from the couch. "Now go on, go get ready," he said and motioned me to go away. I smiled, "I like your guys' mind set," I said. They all laughed and I walked into Nick and Brandon's room.
I decided to wear jeans and one of Brandon's sweatshirts. Once I was done changing, I put my hair in a bun and walked out the bedroom. The boys were still on the couch and they were all ready. "Nice sweatshirt, where'd you get it?" Brandon asked. "Your closet," I said. "No way? That's not mine," he said. "Then who's it?" I asked. Nick raised his hand. "Oh that's right! I borrowed it from you and forgot to put it back in your closet," Brandon said. Brandon laughed and I rolled my eyes. "It's okay, you can wear it," Nick said. I turned red and all the boys except for Nick started smirking at me. "Can we just go now?" I asked. They nodded and stood up. "Adventure awaits!" Zion yelled.
When we got to the skating rink, we all ordered our shoe sizes and as I took my wallet out Nick glared at me. "Put it away," he said. "No," I said. "You better put it away," Nick said. "And if I don't?" I asked. "Then you don't get no kisses," he threatened. I shrugged and he gasped. "I got it Kay," B said as he walked up behind me and paid for my skates. Nick rolled his eyes and I grabbed my skates off the counter. After I slipped my skates on I started to walk towards the rink.
I easily got on, but realized that this was harder than I remembered. Nick and Zion got onto the ice and Zion was so fast. Every time I blinked he was in a different corner. "I think B needs some help," Nick said. I tried to turn around to see Brandon, but as soon as I did I slipped and fell. Brandon started laughing and totally forgot he was on ice and he fell also. "That's what you get!" I yelled. Brandon rolled his eyes and got back up.
Zion skated to me to help me up. "Thank you," I said. He nodded and I dusted my pants off. "You okay?" Nick asked. I nodded and he chuckled. Nick grabbed onto my hand and he started to skate really fast. "Oh my god!" I screamed. "If I fall, I'm taking you down with me!" I yelled as I tried to keep up. Nick laughed. "I hope you fall!" Brandon yelled. "I hope you do too!" I said back. Nick slowed down and turned to me. "You know how to skate?" he asked. "Barley," I said and laughed. He smiled and leaned down to kiss me. "Pretty good for someone who barley knows how to skate," he said. I chuckled and B called me over to him. "I'll be back," I said. Nick nodded and I skated over to Brandon.
"Tell me if I'm wrong, but isn't that Matthew?" he asked pointing to a boy who was skating. I squinted trying to see and Brandon took his glasses and handed them to me. We had the same prescription. I slipped his glasses on and nodded. "Yup," I said. Brandon laughed. "What?" I asked. "You had the biggest crush on him," he said and kept laughing. "I don't know why he's doing here. The day I left to come here, he was at the house," I said. Brandon tilted his head confused and I handed him his glasses. "Did you tell him you were coming here?" he asked. I nodded and Brandon chuckled. "Maybe he's stalking you," he joked. "I doubt it. He's probably here for his dad's business," I said. "Daddy's boy?" Brandon asked. I slightly pushed him, "Shut up," I said. Brandon smiled and I tried to help Brandon skate as we went to Matthew.
"You know, I'm confused on why you want to say hi," I told Brandon. "I haven't seen him in forever," Brandon said. "I think you have a crush on him now," I said. Brandon scoffed, "I rather date myself," he said. "Kaylee!" Matthew said surprised. "I totally forgot that you were in LA," he said. I smiled and he hugged me. "Brandon Arreaga?" Matthew asked. Brandon nodded and they shook hands. "Good to see you," Brandon said. "You too," Matthew said.
"So Kaylee tells me you're in a band now," Matthew said. Brandon nodded, "Congratulations dude, you got some talent," he said. Brandon smiled, "Thank you," Matthew nodded and he pointed to a girl waving at him. "Well, it was good seeing you both, we got to catch up one day," Matthew said. Brandon nodded and they shook hands then Matthew hugged me.
After we ice skated for an hour we decided to go get pizza and of course Brandon paid for me. We all sat down at a table. Nick and Zion say next to me and Brandons at across from me. "So when's your birthday Kay?" Austin asked. "December 14," I said. "Same birthday as B!" Edwin said. "I'm telling you, we were destined to be best friends," Brandon said and reached across the table for a high five. I smiled and gave him one.
"So who was that guy back at the rink?" Nick asked. "Do I smell jealousy?" Zion asked sniffing. I chuckled, "An old friend," I said. "An old crush," Brandon said. I nodded, very embarrassed. Nick nodded and looked down at his plate. "Hey, he doesn't mean anything to me anymore," I said. Nick nodded and stayed quiet for the rest of the night.
