"Ricky!" Greets Marlow.

"Hey!" I sigh, hugging him.

"Jr! Marry! Come see who it is! This is the girl I told you about." Marlow yells, drawing the attention of a man and woman.

I recognized the woman as Marlow's wife. The young man I knew had to be Marlow's son. They came over to me, smiling.

"Hey, it's Churchill!" Marlow shouts, seeing James.

"Conrad." Corrects James, stepping into the house.

"Thank you." Whispers Marry, hugging James.

"Of course." He whispers back, pulling away.

"Thank you." Says Jr, shaking James' hand.

"You brought someone with you." Marlow greets, looking at Gunpei's daughter.

"I'm Mei. You knew my father, as i'm told." She whispers, holding her head high.

"That I did, Mei. You look just like him. He was brave, and he got me through a lot of tough times on the island." Marlow replies, a tear falling from his eye.

"Hank, we need to tell you something." James pipes up, looking at me for permission.

"She better not be pregnant." Marlow warns, making James and I burn red.

"No! That... no. We are leaving the country for a while, and might not come back." I stutter, shocked at what he said.

"They've found more islands. We're going to rescue someone. Monarch has put together a team. We're leaving within the week." James explains.

"Monarch?" Asks Jr., at the same exact time Marlow asked, "There's more?"

"Apparently." James sighs, looking between Marlow and his son.

"We're just telling you, so you don't worry when you don't hear from us." I inform, hoping he didn't think I wanted him to come.

"Yeah, because you going to an island filled with monsters makes me feel better." Marlow laughs.

"Dad?" Interjects Jr.

"Hmm?" Marlow questions, everyone turning on Marlow's son.

"I'm going too... Monarch asked me to 'join the team'." He declares, sheepishly.

"What? Why? How? What?" Marlow is shouting.

"Well, I am a botanist. Monarch sent a letter to me, to ask me to go. This was before you came home. I agreed, and am set to leave in a couple weeks." Jr explains, shocking everyone.

"You study plants?" Asks Mei, who is slightly blushing.

"Yes." Replies Jr, smiling.

"You can't go. You might get killed." Sobs Marry.

"You're not going... I forbid it!" Marlow shouts.

"No. Ricky'll protect me... I'm going to go." Laughs Jr.

"What if I say no, too?" I ask, making myself feel awkward for being drawn into what's really a family matter.

"You can't say no... please. We need to go help whoever's stuck there." Jr. objects, clearly upset with how this is going.

"Let's give them some time to work everything out." I whisper to James and Mei.

The three of us walk out of the house. James intertwines his fingers with mine. I blush, but allow our hands to remain together.

Conrad:

We hear the door open, and look up. Hank's son is standing there with packed bags.

"How'd you convince them to let you come?" Asks Ricky, her hand pulling away.

"I didn't. Let's go." He pants, walking to the cab.

I take Ricky's hand again, seeing her look worried.

"We aren't all going to fit." I state, wanting to get back to the Monarch facility.

"I'll call another cab." He sighs, gesturing for Ricky and Mei to take this one.

"See you at Monarch." Whispers Ricky, not wanting to argue.

"See you." I sigh, letting go of her hand.

Ricky:

"Wake up! We are here." Whispers Mei, shaking me slightly.

I open my eyes, and sigh. We had been on the plane for an hour. My eyes ached, and I stood up. Leaning over the seat, I wrapped my arms around James.

"Hey, Churchill." I teased, earning a sigh.

"You're never going to drop it, are you?" He asks.

"I'll drop it. Just not now." I laugh, walking into the isle.

In the airport, I catch a glimpse of Slivko and Mason. I run to them, happy to see them again. Slivko lifts me up into a hug, and Mason punches my shoulder.

"Hey, guys!" I shout.

"Hey." They reply.

"Any word from the boys?" Asks James, standing next to me.

"Yeah. They're back at the facility. Packing." Answers Slivko.

"Who are these guys?" Asks Mason, catching sight of the newcomers.

"Oh. Yes. Mei Ikari. Hank Marlow Jr." I introduce.

"They're coming with?" Slivko questions.

"Yes." James answers.

Conrad:

I collapse on the bed, my legs dangling off the end.

"What's wrong?" Ricky asks, noticing my actions.

"It's just... i'm allowing you to run head first into death. I am about to escort nearly twenty people to a place, where I have no control over what comes near you, let alone any of them. I don't want to admit it, but i'm frightened." I admit, hoping she would change her mind.

She walks over to me, stopping in between my legs. She leans forward, and puts her elbows into my body. I groan, as she leans all of her weight into her elbows. She is smiling brightly, staring into my eyes.

"I may have been born on an island, but I know what a guilt trip is." She teases, frustrating me.

"What can I do to stop this?" I wonder allowed.

"Nothing." She responds, solemnly.

Her elbows dig into me more, and I am put in more pain.

"What... can I do... to get you off?" I gasp, trying to breath.

"Promise to stop trying to change my mind. If you really don't want to come, don't." She bargains, making me think.

"Fine... I promise." I sigh, already being set free.

"Good." She whispers.

"I promise, only if you promise me something." I declare, making her eyes widen.

"What do you want?" She asks.

"If we survive... we never go to a humid, monster infested  island again... Monarch won't lead us to certain death on one of these dangerous expeditions... Promise?" I request, putting my hands on her shoulders.

"I promise." She whispers, her mind already at work.
