KARA'S POV

My apartment
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Whoever said that ex's can still be friends is just as delusional as me, thinking that Mon-El and I could have it all.
It's been 3 weeks since we last talked. I'm just not ready to say anything to him. He wouldn't even think that there could be a possibility he is more important to me than being supergirl.
At the DEO when we pass one another we lock eyes. Eyes that hold all of the sadness and depression in the whole galaxy.
I've honestly been depressed without Mon-El. He would always come over almost every night. We would make jokes, eat pizza, watch movies.
I just wish everything could go back to the way they were.
This can't be the end of everything. Of us. Of our friendship.
I'm interrupted of my thoughts by my phone ringing.
It's Dana.
Dana and I have been good friends for about a year now, ever since she joined the DEO. Alex was her mentor.
"Hey Dana!"
"Kara! Help! Emergency!" She sounds panicky.
"WHAT IS IT!?!?"
" I have a date tonight and I don't have anything to wear!" She exclaims.
"Oh my Rao, Dana! I really thought something was wrong. Come on over. We are about the same size, you can wear one of my outfits." I laugh
"Thank you so much Kara!"
25 minutes later
Dana is rummaging through my closet, looking for that blue ruffle dress she likes so much.
"Where is it!" She sounds frustrated.
"Top right, second hanger from the purse." I holler from the kitchen.
"Thanks! I hope Mon-El likes it!!!" She squeals.
Wait. Just wait a second. I know I have super hearing and all, but I need to be sure I heard her correctly. Did she say Mon-El? As in, like, my Mon-El?
"Mon-El? As in handsome, Daxamite Mon-El?"
"Yeah" she laughs.
Okay, okay. Poor Dana. Poor, poor Dana. Sweet innocent Dana. She's a dead girl now. Because I sure as hell wont let her go on a date with my man!
I walk up to her, taking a seat on the bed.
"Your... Your going on a date with Mon-El?" My voice cracks.
"Yeah, I thought you were aware. Didn't Mon-El tell you? I know y'all are best friends."
"complications" I sigh.
"Oh! Well I hope everything works out. Thanks for lending me your dress!" She hollers, leaving my apartment.
I don't waste anytime, I quickly pull out my phone, and I dial Mon-Els number.
"Hello?"
"Mon-El! Your going on a date with Dana!?!?" I shout over the phone.
"Yeah..."
"You know the reason we broke up was because we can't date our co-workers, right?"
"Kara, Dana quite last week. We don't work with her anymore, so thus, I'm not breaking any rules."
"Oh..."
"Kara, why don't we hang out later tonight? Watch a movie, like old times."
"What about your date?
"We are just going out to dinner. We can hang out when it's over."
"Okay, see ya later"
I hang up.
I don't really want to see Mon-El, every time I see him I feel my heart break all over again. I'm not strong enough to be with him alone. But I have to be strong, and brave. We have to talk. We have to get through this awkwardness. I miss my best friend.
