MON-ELS POV

Karas apartment
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Mon-El"
"How are you?" I whisper.
"I'm fine. You know you can sit down, right? I won't bite." She says, patting down an empty space on the couch.
"Oh really?" I ask
I pull up my sleeve and show her the scars on my arm.
"Oh right." She laughs.
I pick up the blanket, take a seat, and throw the blanket back over me.
"Just like old times" Kara states with a smile.
"Yeah" I laugh.
"So, Imra took the news well?"
"Um... Not really" I answer.
"Oh, what happened?"
"She made me chose between being Valor or being with her. When I told her I was staying, she left."
"I'm sorry. That's awful Mon-El. You don't deserve that."
I can really tell that Kara feels bad. She has no crinkle, so she has to be telling the truth. She's a good person, with a good heart. And I've missed that heart.
"Ehh, anyone that would make me chose between being a hero or being with them.... I don't need that person in my life." I sigh.
"I get it." She whispers.
"Yeah, well... You wanna watch a movie?" I ask quickly.
"Yes!" I exclaim.
"Wanna watch 'Funny Face' again?" I ask.
"You hate that movie Mon-El."
"Yeah, well, I think it's growing on me. I guess I just need the right company." I smile.
Kara blushes.
She quickly turns the movie on, and snuggles into the couch. I lean back, kicking my feet up on the table.
I look over at Kara, she is so into the movie. Her eyes are glued to the screen. She seemed so happy. She was absolutely beautiful.
At that moment, I realized just how much I loved her. I missed her.
"Kara?" I whisper.
She looks up at me, with one of her famous smiles, one that I know so well. I haven't seen her smile like this ever since I got back.
"Yeah..." She whispers back.
"I forgive you" I breathe.
"You do?" She cries.
"Yeah..."
She pulls me into a tight hug.
"Can we go back to being friends?" She asks, the sound of hope detected in her voice.
"I'd like that" I whisper, being released from Karas tight embrace.
Kara leans back into the couch and kicks her feet up onto my lap, just like old times.
"I've missed my best friend" she whispers.
"I've missed you too"
"Promise you won't leave again"
"I promise" I whisper.
"Good" she sighs.
