talias pov -
today is the first day of my senior year. im dreading this whole year considering i have a horrible boyfriend and i cant break up with him because if i do my parents will get angry.

my parents and my boyfriends parents are very close friends and business partners so they want me dating their friends son.

he abuses me. verbally and physically. he makes me want to die. the only reason i stay alive is because of my bestfriend, billie.

i love her with all my heart. its always been us two ever since 4th grade.

well back to school. i check my social medias and go to the bathroom to take a quick shower. after my shower i put on a pair of my ripped boyfriend jeans, a tight red shirt, and my white slip on vans.

i put on my makeup which is just mascara, lip gloss, and highlight. i say bye to my parents and my older brother justin. i trust justin with everything. he doesnt like destin. he knows what he does to me and hes hit destin many times because of it. we tell my parents what hes dont but they really dont care. once i turn 18 me and justin are gonna move into our own apartment with his girlfriend.

i get into my car, put some music on and drive to school. as soon as i get to school i see billie waiting for me by the front entrance and i run to her and hug her. she was gone all summer vacationing in the bahamas. lucky bitch

"TALIAAAAAA" billie screams
"BILLIEEEEE I MISSED YOU" i scream back squeezing her to death

"i heard there are some new seniors. theyre twins and apparently really hot. one for me one for you?" she wiggles her eyebrows at me

"ha very funny. destin would kill me if i even looked at another guy." i look down

"its okay t, im gonna get you out of this. i know how much he hurts you." billie comforts me

i look up to see the most beautiful human beings i have ever seen in my whole life. theyre who billie was talking about.

"theyre coming towards us talia..." billie nudges me

they walk up to us and one of them talks to us.

"hi sorry to bother you but can you show me where this room is?" the one with longer dark hair asks me

"my name is ethan by the way" he explains
"im grayson" says the other one

billie and i shake their hands introducing our selves as well.

i take a look at ethans schedule and we have homeroom, english, math, lunch, and pe together.

"lucky for you we have almost every class together besides history, chem, and art." i say to ethan

"i can walk you to your classes today and you can sit with billie and i at lunch if you guys would like to." i say politely

"sure thank you!" grayson says

"talia im gonna show grayson his classes ill see you in pe." billie says then waves goodbye

"okay ethan lets go to homeroom." i smile

this guy seems really sweet. if destin sees me with him he'll flip.

as if on que destin shows up angry, as usual.

"who is this guy?" destin practically spits in my face

"calm down im just showi-," destin cuts me off grabbing my wrists as tightly as he could "if you ever tell me to calm down again you dont want to know whats gonna ha-," ethan pulls him off of me.

"hey man dont do that shit youre obviously hurting her. what kind of boyfriend are you?" ethan says in destins face

the bell rings and its starting to get bad so i tell ethan to stop so we wont be late.

"come on ethan we're gonna be late. its okay hes usually like this. just leave it." i say grabbing onto ethans arm

"okay," he starts walking with me "are you okay talia? why are you dating him if he hurts you like this?" he says holding and looking at my wrist

"its a really, really long story." i say looking down

"okay. i wont pressure you to tell me anything but if you ever want to talk you can always talk to me." he says hugging me

i hug him back feeling safe. something i have never felt with destin.

we get to class and take our seats. the teacher takes attendance then puts us into assigned seats. i sit next to ethan and this one girl alyssa.

ethans pov-
grayson and i are new to this school in los angeles

we had trouble finding our classes so we asked the first people we saw. two girls talia and billie. they were both so pretty but talia was something else. she was stunning.

when she said we had classes together i got really happy. we were walking to our homeroom when something weird happened.

a guy who seems to be talias boyfriend yelled at her and hurt her because she was taking me to class. he threatened her and before it got worse i stopped him from doing anything else to her.

i wonder what his deal is.

i was thinking of asking talia if she wanted to get smoothies after school so i could get to know her better.

i think ill ask her during pe which is our first period.

our homeroom just ended now we are on our way to pe. might as well just ask her now.

"hey talia do you wanna go get smoothies after school?" i ask her shyly

"i would love to!" she smiles

"okay lets meet at extraordinary fruits at 4" i explain

she agrees and we go to pe.

-lunch-
talias pov-
im pretty glad ethan asked me to get smoothies because today destin and his family are coming over and i do not want to be there.

anyways its lunch and ethan and i are walking to our table. i see billie and grayson sitting and i wave and they tell us to come. billie and grayson seem to be hitting it off. go bestfriend.

we go sit and in the corner of my eye i see destin and his asshole friends staring at us. im pretty sure ethan saw too because he saw me tense up and he put his arm around me to comfort me.

"destin is such an asshole." i say to billie

"did he do something to you at school today?" billie seems pissed

i show her my slightly bruised wrist and she looks like steam should be coming out of her ears.

"ethan stopped him before he could do anything else." i look at ethan and weakly smile

"i have had enough." billie says getting up

"billie dont do anything" i get up but ethan pulls me down

billies pov-
i dont know who the fuck he thinks he is but i have had enough with him treating my bestfriend like shit when she obviously derserves someone better.

its time for me to teach his soon to be sorry ass a lesson.
