Next couple of months, life was good the Kozcuoglus. Business was great too, in part thanks to Zeynep and her online business classes. Zeynep actually started an interior design business for the company, EZ Homescape. For social events and parties, they put up a united front, but behind the scenes they were usually on their own. Emir hung to his old habits, and Zeynep hung out with the new friends she had made.

One night, Zeynep was coming home from seeing Fehime when her car started sputtering on the road. Zeynep slowly pulled to the curb and turned off they keys, and the hood started smoking. She got out of the car to check it out and kicked the hood; it popped open and more smoke spewed.

"Oh, just great." Zeynep sighed, throwing her hands in the air.

She couldn't call any tow service at this hour of night, and it wasn't safe to be standing out in this part of town. Zeynep sat back into the car and called the only person who could help her now.

"Emir speaking," the voice said over the phone.

"Hi, this is Zeynep. So listen, I was going home from work just now, but my car's broken down."

"So this is where you call a service."

Zeynep rolled her eyes.

"Yes, you're the FIRST thing that crosses my mind. Look at the time Emir bey, it's too late to call any service. That's why I called you. So, can you come pick me up?"

Emir sighed. "Fine. Send me your location."

Zeynep hung up and forwarded Emir her location. She would have waited in the car, but the smoke started to come through the a/c vents, so she grabbed the most important stuff and left the car.

It's not for no reason people don't let girls out at night, because there's always dirty men looking for prey at night.

"Hey baby, is that smoke coming from the car or you? 'Cause you're hot!"

"Excuse me! That's a cheap line. And I'll have you know, my husband's coming to pick me up."

"Doesn't sound like a good husband, letting his wife out at night. Why don't I show you what a gentleman is."

The men stepped towards her and in her defense, Zeynep swung her purse at them. One of the men caught the purse and tugged it, bringing Zeynep tumbling into his arms.

"Come here, baby. Let's see what else that hand can do."

The man grabbed her arms, her back to his front, and tried to kiss her. Zeynep squirmed and avoided the kiss, and kicked her leg behind. The man got hurt and let her go, and Zeynep started running away from them.

As she ran, she kept looking behind her, and that is how she accidentally ran into a car. The car was already stopped thank god, and Zeynep got off the ground to see it was Emir in the driver seat. She quickly got up, out of breath, and ran to the passenger door, pulling at the handle till Emir finally unlocked it and Zeynep quickly got inside. Emir didn't say anything as she put on her belt, and he quietly turned the car around, but was stopped.

"Shit, they have my purse."

••••••••••

Ugh, Emir sighed. This girl was always so needy. Why couldn't she just call a service? Anyway, his mood was spoiled now, so he decided to agree to her request and left to go get her. The place was 25 minutes away from him, so he would be there soon. He'd been on the road only 15 minutes when he noticed a girl running towards the car without looking. Emir slammed the breaks and the car stopped, but the girl kept running till she bumped into the car.

She got up and Emir saw it was Zeynep. He also saw the two men come to a running stop behind her. Emir kept staring at them and unlocked the car so Zeynep could get in. She didn't say a word, just breathing heavily from her run and being in trouble. Emir simply stepped on the gas and turned back to go home but she stopped him.

"Shit, they have my purse. Everything is in there."

Emir stopped the car again and the two men were stupid enough to stand and wonder why. Emir got out of the car and Zeynep turned behind in her seat to see what would happen, though she couldn't see very well or hear anything.

Emir went to face the men and pulled out a gun from behind his jacket. He kept a straight face while the men began to freak.

"The purse," he simply said, pointing to it with his gun.

One of the men quickly worked to get it.

"With. Everything." He pointed the gun at the other guy and he fumbled in his pockets to put Zeynep's things back.

One of them handed Emir the purse back and he gave them a cocky smile.

"That should teach you not to bother girls again."

The men ran away and Emir smiled behind them, then returned back to the car and went home.
