Im trying to find light between the woven rope around my neck,
Im trying to enjoy my train ride alone with the passengers walking by,
Every second of sleep you get is a miracle when you make your bed in a battle trench,
So I just wanna try to enjoy the days without my soul reaching for the sky.
People can make you feel so ashamed,
To have emotion, to believe in something,
But people are the ones who changed the innocent,
Just like they changed the word Selfish.
Tell me is it wrong to want the best for oneself?
I put everyone aside somedays so that I can flourish,
And maybe sometimes I'll only speak of myself,
But being selfish is just wanting the best for yourself.
Sure I do live my life in the orbit of others,
But when it comes to self-growth, don't mind if I leave the solar system,
You might think to yourself "he doesn't care about anybody else",
Truth is I care too much but its not narcissism to want to live another day.
