2013 was the worst year for the Killjoys, when the members of rock band My Chemical Romance split up, leading to a dreaded hiatus. Their fans had to resort to listening to other music, but there was always a tear in the Killjoys' hearts created by the breakup of the band.

Many Killjoys made theories about why My Chemical Romance split, some of them outlandish. They started from references to some of the band's songs, but these didn't really provide a solid reason as to why the band left its fans.

A horrendous four years passed, with more fans of the band taking their lives and the lives of others. Then, in 2017, during an interview with lead singer Gerard Way, fans were blessed when he said that he wouldn't ignore the idea of a reunion, but thinks that members of his band have other things to do than make music

Hopelessness, they called it, but a new sliver of light appeared in 2018, when more sightings of the My Chemical Romance members hanging out came into the eyes of the public as well as more reunion news.

After all, Gerard did delete their breakup tweet, which may signal a new beginning. Or at least, that's what Killjoy Marina Parker thought on a fall day, when she realized that it was not actually "The End." for the band.
