You taught me to give up things I want so bad
Because somethings are just not things I can have
Sometimes it's easier to look for something else than to die a thousand times every night
Perhaps had I not let go one death would've been my last
You taught me that I should love myself more than jewels
That even they lose their gleam
You taught me that words are what they are
Even feverishly said, they disappear to thin air
You taught me that three words are enough to wreck a life or to build it
But a life built on words is always deemed to last less than what it promises
Not to be forgotten
When you taught me that some forevers last only in poetry
