➸ one : open the photo you'd like to edit

➸ two : in a separate layer, use an airbrush (i used trapezoid), change the color to whatever you'd like (i usually use a color similar to the bg) and draw circles

i really don't think about where to put them, if i feel like that spot needs one, then i draw one
(it's your choice if you want them to be similar in size)

➸ three : duplicate the layer from a while ago, go to fx, press change drawing color,
set contrast to 0% and brightness to 100%, outcome should be white

➸ four : change the white circles layer to add, then adjust opacity until you achieve what you want(these were set to 25%-white layer and 30%-colored layer)

Decided to go ahead and turn it into an icon. The one on the left is pretty much like a base, I hardly did anything to it. The right one is up for grabs if anyone wants it, just tell me. (also, see the power of filters and finishing touches?)

Ok so, if your going to ask me "Why does there need to be colored circles? Why not just the white ones?" I'm going to be honest, I don't know. When I first decided that I wanted to draw my own bokeh, that's what I did, and I sticked to it. It was something like instinct? Or maybe I read it somewhere and just forgot? I really don't know.

Now, I keep the colored circles because I want the bokeh to kinda blend in with whole picture, hence I usually use a color similar to the background. Does that make sense to you?

I used to draw on the white circles over the colored circles myself. Why? Because I like to make things harder for myself. smh. It's really your choice how you want to do it, this tutorial is just a shortcut/suggestion.
