Chapter 19: Receiving an unknown package
Ashley's Point Of ViewTo be honest, Louis was the only one that has been there for me. Cheering me up, teasing me, watching movies. I told him everything what had happened a few days ago at the mall. He was surprised Niall said a couple things to me about Sirena. I just couldn't take it anymore, hearing her name. I thought to myself and still had feelings for him. But I guess, that's how love works.
Love won't always be a perfect relationship. When you first start dating, you'll feel shy, butterflies in your stomach, scared. The more you get deeper and deeper in your relationship, fights and arguements knocks down your relationship. The next thing you know, you can't stand them anymore.
I've been crying ever since our break up. Everyone tried cheering me up, but the more they did that, memories would just come back in my mind. Mum, tried taking me out shopping. Snapback caps would fill the whole mall. Dad tried watching Titanic with me, first movie Niall and I ever watched together. Max, deleting all messages and phone number of Niall's. I knew his number by heart and could remember every message we sent to each other. Last but not least, Louis. Spending time with me just makes me want Niall back even more.
I walked downstairs with my teddy bear in my hand, and a blanket wrapped around myself. My hair was a mess and my eyes were pure swollen and red. I sat down on the kitchen counter watching my mum cook. She looked at me and sighed. She cupped my face with her hands and kissed my forehead. A tear escaped my eyes, but I didn't mind letting them fall.
"Ashley, what are we going to do with you? We've tried everything." I covered my face with my blanket and held onto my teddy bear even tighter. I looked out the kitchen window and saw Niall sitting down on his front porch. My mouth curved into a smile for the first time for the first time in so many days. Mum looked out the window and saw Niall. She shook her head and continued to go on with her cooking.
I walked over to Niall's house, sitting down next to him on his light blue porch. He smiled up at me. My hands went over my face with depression and stress. Niall looked down on the ground, still wondering what would happen next. He pulled me into his arms, hugging me tightly. A few tears came down. He wiped them, letting a few tears come down his cheek. "I'm So-"
"How's my baby girl?" Dad said making me shake my head away from my thoughts of what could have happened if I went across the street. My mouth frowned. I jumped off the kitchen counter, walking to Dad's arms. He gave me a hug and kissed the top of my head. He hugged me even tighter, making it hard for me to breath. I gasped for air. He let me go of his arms as soon as he heard my gasp. I laughed quietly and sat down at the dinning room table.
Max smiled at me and sat down next to me. His height was the length of my shoulders. He was pretty tall for his age. He took my white, hello kitty bowed teddy bear and placed it on the table. Grabbing my phone out of my hands, he ran away with it to his room. I looked down at the ground, not caring what he was doing. Suddenly, a knock came across the door. My mood lit up a bit, thinking it might be Niall.
My mum rushed over to the door, peeking through the peep hole. She turned the light yellowed door knob and let the mysterious person in. Still sitting in my chair, I wiped my eyes because they were getting a bit blurry.
"Ashley, I want to talk to you outside." A low toned voice said. I looked up and saw Liam Payne. My mouth, not curving into a smile or frown, I obeyed and walked outside to the front porch. Liam followed behind me, closing the door shut.
He slowly took my blanket off of me and placed it somewhere else. He sat down next to me and looked at the bright blue sky, not a single cloud was there. Sun shining down on us. Liam wraped an arm around my shoulders.
I told him everything what had happened in the mall. He was a very good listener, nodding his head and agreeing with me. He pulled me closer to him, giving me a hug. I laid down on his shoulders, watching the kids play across the street. Those little kids reminded of Niall and I. I remembered we used to pretend that were soliders, serving our country.
"Those kids are cute, aren't they?" Liam asked. I nodded my head and laughed. I smiled. The little girl tripped on the cement and fell down on her knees. The little boy ran over to her as quickly as possible, and hugged her tightly.
"Maybe, I would have kids one day." I whispered. Liam laughed adorably. We both walked back inside, getting ready to eat breakfast. Mum had cooked a whole lot of food, maybe for a fiest. I chuckled at her cooking and sat down next to Liam. We had our laughs and giggles. Liam went back to his home, leaving me with my family again.
"Thank you Max." I whispered to his ear. Talking and spending time with Louis and Liam brought my mood up higher. He smiled and handed my phone back. I looked at my messages and saw that he had texted Liam to come over. I chuckled and saw that they had their own little conversations.
I walked myself over to the backyard to get some fresh air, and just look at the plants. I scanned the whole backyard and spotted a white rose that seemed familiar. I walked to it closely, picking it up from the ground and bringing it up my nose. I inhaled it, placing it over my chest. It was Niall's white flower he gave to me that night we brought Dad to Australia. A tear came down my cheek, falling down to the rose.
"Is that the white rose?" An unfamilar voice came across the high brown fence. I looked around and saw a blonde girl, light blue eyes matching mine. I nodded my head slowly. She was dressed in a white gown, white shoes, and a white teddy bear that looked familar to me. She jumped over the fence and walked closer to me.
"Ashley, I want you to keep that rose forever. As long as you can." The lady said. I looked at her confused. What's so good about the this stupid rose? I threw it on the ground and crossed my arms over my chest.
She slowly picked it up, placing it over her heart. The rose lit up and turned to a brighter white. It shined in my eyes, causing my vision to go blurry. I covered my hands over my eyes. The rose was as bright as the sun. I peeked through my hands and saw that the white rose was besides my feet. The unkown lady was gone. I've seen myself in the feature.
I picked up the rose and laid it down next to the plants. In my mind, I could see the lady telling me to keep the rose forever. It mocked it through my head. I shrugged it off and went back inside. Everyone was in the living room watching The Notebook.
"Watching sad movies won't help me." I whispered to them. The laughed and shrugged it off. I rolled my eyes and sat down on the floor watching it with them. It was a lovely movie. I watched hundreds of times, knowing each line of each character.
A knock came across the door. Dad got up from his seat and walked over to the glass door. There was a guy with a package in his hands, having my name in big letters. Dad signed the paper handing the package to me. I walked over to the kitchen to open it up alone.
The package contained a book called Being Friends With A Bully. There was a sticky note that said 'Enjoy, it will help your feature. -Ashley'. Ashley? What was my name doing there. I scanned the first book page and saw my name and Niall's. Here's the how the first page went:
Middle school. Bullies, Popular's, and groups. Have you ever had a guy that went to your school and lived right across from you? That guy you lived across from was a bully. He was nice to everyone else except you. Doesn't that make you wonder why? Ever looked online and though to yourself, "Does he like me?" . Just image as your heading to high school and that one guy still picks on you. This is a love story about Niall Horan and a girl named Ashley Robberts
I smiled on how the story started. It's weird how the characters and settings fitted my life perfectly. Mum and Dad came to the kitchen watching me as I read my book. I looked up at them and smiled. They looked at me confused.
"What's that?" Dad asked. Mum slapped his arm and mouthed out 'A book.'. I giggled and walked upstairs, not taking my sight off of the book. I plopped myself on the bed, giggling and laughing of how Ashley's high school life started. Before you knew it, I was done with the book. I had a good look of my feauture.
