Chapter 3: It's becomg more than friends
"Max, can I change the channel?" I asked looking at the remote control in his hand.
"No, why don't you go hang out with your boyfriend?" Max suggested, not leaving his eyes on the tv.
"Boyfriend?" I asked. Did he mean Niall?
"Niall right?" Max asked. I raised an eye brow up and tackled him to the floor.
"I don't like Niall. We're just friends, now take that back MAX!" I yelled and tickled him. He giggled cutely and shook his head. He ran away and went to the kitchen to grab a cookie.
Someone knocked on the door and Max runs to answer it. "YOUR BOYFRIENDS HERE ASH." Max said and ran away. I glared at him as he ran away and I blushed slightly. I walked to the door and there he was, wearing his blue tight shirt V necked and basketball shorts. 4 boys were standing behind him with a basketball.
"Boyfriend huh?" Niall said laughing at me.
"Mmm, He's kidding. So, you guys are gonna play basketball?" I said and looked at Harry holding the basketball. Harry nodded and smiled. Oh jesus, those dimples.
"Would you like to join us? We're going to the basketball court around the corner. " Niall said while resting his arm on the door.
I looked down at what I was wearing. I was still wearing my pajamas. "Uhh, wait here?" I said and ran upstairs. I quickly slipped one some boyish black sweatpants, a white hoodie, and a pair of toms. I tied my hair back in a messy bun and applied quick mascara and eyeliner.
I ran downstairs and Niall stood there staring at me.
"Y-You didn't n-need to c-change.." Niall said suddenly stuttering. I slapped the back of his head and put on my shades. I walked out the door and I heard one of the guys whistle.
"Okay. Please just take me as one of the guys. " I said. I was tired of them walking behind me probably checking out my ass. Niall and Liam catched up with me while Harry, Zayn and Louis walking behind us.
"It's just that yesterday you wear short shorts, and a skinny jeans then the next day we see you wear sweat pants. That's freaking sexy right there. " Niall said. I looked at him and he winks at me and smiles.
"How on earth did we ever become friends?" I asked and giggled. He smiled.
We finally got to the basketball court and I saw Rose and a few other girls with her. She had her long hair up in a poiny tail, a cute bow head band, girl basketball shorts, and a simple hoodie. She also wore her UGG's. Harry whistled at Rose and winked.
"How about guys verses ladies?" Zayn asked. We all giggled and nodded. We decided that we would watch our own guy. Rose gets Harry, I get Niall, Hailey gets Zayn, Cassie gets Liam, and Danielle gets Louis.
As Liam said "GO!" We all attacked them and jumped on their backs.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Niall asked looking at all of us. We all giggled and I replied, "We're playing basketball. Isn't that how you play?"
Niall sighed and shook his head. "How about I play against...*looks around* Ashley?" Niall asks and winks at me. I rolled my eyes as a reply. Rose pushes me closer to Niall and I almost kissed his cheek. Damn you Rose!
"IT'S ON LIKE DONKEY CON!" I yelled out. I looked at Liam and he smiled at me.
I played against Niall and I won. "YAY!" I screamed outloud.
Niall winks at Harry. I didn't notice it, but it came noticable when Niall whispered to them. It was nice of him to let his friend win right?
The rest of the girl's went with the rest of the guys to get lunch leaving Niall and I alone in he basketball court. I sat down in he middle of the court as he shot some hoops.
"What's wrong Ashley?" Niall asked walking towards me.
"You let me win. " I said staring at my feet.
"Pshhh, No!" Niall said and and started tickling me to make me smile.
"I'm not tickelish. Let me see your basketball!" I said and giggled.
I took his basketball and tried to shoot a hoop. I tried about 10 times, but it never went in.
"I told you, you let me win Niall! " I said. I sat down on his basketball and re-done my hair. He sat next to me and stared at the ground. I messed up his hair and smiled at him. I stuck my tongue out and ran away. He ran after me and wraped his arms around me.
The crew came back and saw Niall and I wraped together. We smiled inocently and Zayn dropped his ice cream cone.
"What the hell?" Harry said with one eye brow up.
Niall let's go of me and stands next to me. "We didn't do anything bro!" Niall said.
I walk away from Niall and walk to the girls.
Niall's POV
"Niall, do you actually like Ashley?" Harry asks me.
"I don't know..My emotions for her changed. " I said glancing at Ashley then looking away.
"I think I might ask Rose out. But anyways, NIALL'S GOT A CRUSH!" Harry says outloud. Ashley glances at us and smiles. I kick Harry in the balls for saying that out too loud. Now the truth is noticable.
"Bro, what the hell was that for?" Harry asks trying to cover his area because of the pain.
"Never mind. Well I'm gonna go home. See you later Harry!" Niall says. I waved at Ashley and she runs towards me.
"Leaving already?" Ashley asks me.
"Yeah, I gotta babysit my little sister. She's 10. " I said.
"I'll come with you, my little brother might tell on me that I left him alone at home. " Ashley said and giggled cutely.
I walked home with Ashley. I mean it was only a few blocks away. I waved her a goodbye and watched her run across the street.
"I'm home!" I yelled outloud. I saw my sister sleeping in the living room. I picked her up gently and layed her in her bed for a nap.
She slowly opens her small blue eyes and says "Niall, are you going to have a girlfriend?"
I laugh and she smiles. "Maybe. Go back to sleep!" She slowly closes her eyes and I bring the blanket over her shoulders.
I went to my room and sat down on my bed. When she asked me that question, I thought of Ashley. I guess tomorrow I'll have to ask her.
