⠀⠀⠀⠀THE SUN SHINES ON THE BODIES OF THOSE IT BLESSES. in the school of seido, a profound school known as one of the powerhouses of west tokyo is not left unheard of in the baseball world. the swings of baseball bats were a norm to this school, gathering and attracting talent throughout japan.
"is there a reason you're late?" a shade wearing male's voice speaks, his gaze following three figures who were tardy for their first practice. he was their coach, kataoka tesshin who had lifted the safety gear an umpire wears up, the soft shield placed down. to say the least, his words caught multiple people's attention– if not the entire baseball field's.
"apologies, the train was late," violet strands held up in a ponytail sways ever so slightly, beautiful sky blue orbs blink her lashes with a small smile and bow. she, along with two others, hand their papers to the coach of the baseball team, the piece of paper which the train workers give out to those they had inconvenienced. "and we also stopped by our dorms to drop our belongings."
"ohayo." cherry locks braided in dutch strands sit on the shoulders of a female player that wore the exact same uniforms as all of the others. the seido hat that covered the sun's rays and half her face from the other ichinen is placed securely on her head. suzuki fukumi shrugs her shoulder, opening one eye as she glances over to her coach with a huge smirk curling up from her lips, "can i play?"
before their coach could answer, questions arose when multiple first years doubted the sudden intrusion, "why are we playing with girls? can they really play?"
"what did you say? last time i checked, i'm pretty sure you guys only have one point so far, so who are you to judge?" suzuki clicks her tongue, canary diamonds for eyes show the glint of annoyance causing some of the boys to flinch at her gaze. silence takes over the dugout, many for a lost of words because they know she's right. her lips open once more to continue her reign of hard truth when her companion puts a hand on her shoulder, shooting a look to stop any words that were about to spill from out of her lips.
"is that a challenge?" her voice drips like honey, but it stings just as much as poisonous venom. like a wolf in disguise, her sweet and delicate appearance is deceiving to the eyes. a tense atmosphere causes everyone to stuff up, as suwa rea glances back to kataoka, only to receive the nod of approval for the two to enter the field.
