"So, is Tanba-senpai doing alright?"

⠀⠀⠀⠀
Koyoumi and Yagami were out in a café, it was a late night around nine where both had finished their practices from their respective teams.

A few days ago, Seido's ace had been hit with a baseball in a game, and had to be sent to the hospital asap.

"It's pretty gloomy ever since then. Even the senpais were quiet during the lunch hour." Yagami looked down at her drink, using the straw to stir it.

Her blonde and silver locks were put up in a messy bun, a white and red striped shirt tucked in light blue jeans with a pair of runners.

The brunette in front of her, had her hair in twin dutch braids, the ripped white oversized sweater style over blue jeans an converse.

Koyoumi frowned hearing those words. "Is my aniki also one of those senpais that were also gloomy?"

"He's a senpai." Yagami muttered, hand under her cheek and elbow on the table as she looked with an old look. "What else?"

"Haha~ gomene, Eri." The brunette clasped her hands together, an apologetic smile. "I forgot, whoops~."

"Talking about senpais," Yagami trialed on, a deep sigh letting out her lips. "Jun-senpai and Tetsu-senpai were pitching."

Koyoumi slightly chocked on her drink, sipping on it when she explained those words. Coughing loudly Yagami just stared at her pain.

After a good two minutes, the brunette female had stopped coughing due to the milk tea that she bought.

"Uhh..." Yagami stared, raising a brow. "Are you done dying in your corner?" Koyoumi sipped once more, clearing her throat.

"Yeah," Koyoumi breathed out, small pants. "I'm fine. But why were they pitching? We all know Jun-senpai can't aim for god sake. Aniki... don't even get me started..."

The middle child of the Yuukis put her hand on her forehead, blue lines on the side of her head as she sulked. Remembering when he had pitched in the past.

Yagami chuckled before sitting up properly and twirled the straw once more. Koyoumi once again frowned at her enthusiasm.

"Has being gloomy also been affecting you?" The copper eyed female stopped twisting her straw at her best friend's question.

"I would be lying if I said it wasn't." Yagami murmured. "But I wouldn't be lying if I said it didn't bother me."

"What do you mean?" Koyoumi slightly furrowed her brows in confusion, her lead tilting to the side a bit.

"Koushien is a tournament, only one could be the best baseball team in Japan. We all need to be in tip top condition,"

Putting a strand of hair behind her ear she stared at her frappuccino. "If you're not mentally stable even in the slightest,"
⠀⠀⠀⠀

"It'll be the downfall of your team."

⠀⠀⠀⠀
"Big words for a girl who got a sixty-nine percent in English."

⠀⠀⠀⠀
"Don't sip your drink at me!" Yagami growled as a smirk went on Koyoumi's lips as she continued to make the sipping sound.

"Yuuki Koyoumi!" The girl repeated, an irk mark on the side of her head only for her to attract attention to others.
