"Eri, run faster."
⠀⠀⠀⠀

"Nii-chan, I'm trying!"

⠀⠀⠀
I was only eleven years old, and my short legs weren't taking me as far as my eldest brother'sー hence him being thirteen and all.

The both of us decided to go for a small run around Tokyo, Tomoe-nii knowing the entire way to go so I followed him as he led.

But it had already been an entire half an hour, even more probably that we ran nonstop. I was already getting tired from dehydration, I don't get how he can run for so long.

"Chotto matte, nii-chan..." I had stammered, my hand landing near a wired pole and leaning on it for balance so I can try to catch my own breath.

"Onigai, Tomoe-nii, slow down Iー Tomoe-nii..?" But when I looked up, I was stuck in a street all by myself. I can't see Tomoe-nii anywhere.

"H-He left me!" I exclaimed, looking around once more before starting to walk forwards. "I don't know this neighborhood... I've never been in this part of Tokyo."

'Alright, calm down Eri, calm down. Deep breaths! You can find him!' An idea suddenly popped up in my mind, fishing my flip phone out.

"I can try calling him!" I tried flipping it open and pressing the power button, but it just kept showing a black screen. "Crap! It's dead!"

"Maybe... a police station..?" I thought outloud as she started to walk around. I just decided to tak a turn to the right and walked.

It's been five minutes that I wandered around the neighbourhood and I lost myself even more than before.

"Tomoe-nii, why would you just leave me..." I fell down, hands wrapped around my knees as I felt my tears were ready to spill.

"I'm scared..."

"E-etto, daijabou desu ka?

⠀⠀⠀⠀
My copper eyes looked up from my spot, it was a boy around my age which had glasses and a hat way too big for his head sideways.

"I-iee..." I stammered, the boy had looked at .e with concern, that was until he had crouched down to my level.

"Are you lost?" He asked, I looked at him before hesitantly nodding my head. He looks around my age, what's the harm in talking to him?

"Are you from this neighborhood, because I've never seen you before." The boy stated out, hand out in front of my small body.

"No, I got lost when I was taking a run with my older brother..." Taking hold of his hand, his hand was bigger than mine by a long slide.

"Were you just about to cry?" He suddenly asked, Quickly wiping the tears that were about to form, I felt my cheeks what up. "No! I was not!"

But I sniffed a bit saying otherwise. The boy had chuckled, his index finger in front of his lips while quickly winking at me. "Don't worry, I won't tell."

I could feel steam was coming out of my ears, and my face was probably as red as the tomatoes... I would want this ground to swallow me.

"Police station, please just take me there..." I pouted, causing the boy to cease his laughing and nodded his head. "Sure."

I started to walk beside the boy, an awkward silence between us two as we walked through the streets of Tokyo.

'He's not tall for someone that's around my age...' I gave the boy a side glance before continuing to walk along with him.
