"From your lips and back up to your eyes, My hands on your hips when we grind I'm fantasizin' 'bout what I'm gon' do to you" - J. Holiday
I squinted my eyes as the sunlight beamed through the window. I didn't quite remember how I got up here but I knew it had something to do with Dontè.
I still had all my clothes on and I was on top of the covers. I'm glad that he already knew that I would have flipped if he would have put me in clean sheets.
I looked at the clock and noticed I had a whole three hours before I had to even get ready so I decided i'll get up to take a shower.
Well, if I could get out the bed first.
Yesterday I was just beat as hell. I guess with everything going on, I haven't had time to sleep. Plus it's been a good minute sense I worked a full shift.
After much mental exercising and false movements, I finally let my feet hit the floor. However I didn't feel the floor, but rose petals.
I then noticed a note on my dresser. It read:
Good Morning Angelina. Luna and I have a surprise for you, but first you have to hop in the shower. See you soon.
Dontè
And LuLu 🖤I smiled at the thought of Luna fighting Dontè for the pen. Her name was lightly scribbled and I can tell Dontè had to help her out a little bit. But it's still cute.
I climbed out of the bed and straightened up the sheets. After taking off all of yesterday, I jumped in the shower.
I'm not sure how long I was in there but I had enough time to make a whole throwback musical including the interruptions of commercials.
After practically hotboxing the bathroom I put on my bathrobe because I was too cold and tired to put on clothes. And then I smelt food.
Before going to be curious, I decided to figure check my phone.
I checked both my business phone and personal. On my work phone, the only notification I received was from Diana telling me that she wasn't going to be in today and to cancel all her appointments.
She also told me that means I could come in later as long as I got the work done. Therefore, I could have my morning to myself and Luna.
My personal phone consisted of text messages and calls from Skylar begging me to tell her about Dontè. I told her that I would explain everything this weekend at the sleepover.
Anyway back to my curiosity. I dried my hair briefly and tied it in a messy bun. I walked into the room greeted with soft r&b and laughter.
"She woke, She woke." I heard Luna say silently.
As soon as I turned the corner I saw my daughter and Dontè in full on matching onesies.
The counter was covered in rose petals, various of orange and apple juices and breakfast.
The counter was covered with
"Congratulations Mommy!!" they both screamed. My smile proved my happiness as my eyes started to water. I had never had any type of acknowledgement for anything Ive done. At least not sense my father left.
Luna ran to me with open arms and I felt the tears coming down slowly. "Mommy, why are u crying."
At the point my vision was so blurred that I didn't notice that Dontè had already came to my side and kissed my forehead.
"Yeah what's wrong mami?"
"I'm just .... thank you. Thank you so much."
"I just felt like you deserved some recognition after these past few months. I know it's a lot going on and I wanted to let you know that I see you. In all your hard work."
