"And it kills me to know how much I really love you." - Melanie Fiona
"Angelina" ...
I would recognize that voice anywhere. Immidatly I jumped into his arms. And apparently Luna regonzied it too.
She had put on her clothes almost soaking wet.
She ran from the back screaming "SCOOPYYY!!!"
"Hey Lu, wassup Angie." He hugged us back harder than we hugged him. He had me in one arm and Luna in the other.
Then I remembered what happened.
"Oh my god Luna baby get down. We dont want to hurt him."
The only thing that made her do was hug him tighter and cry. He quickly gave me a stank eye. Jesshhh.
"Okay Okay.. my bad."
I reopened the door so we all could walk in. I examined him well before asking him why the hell he was at my house so late.
"Why and the H E double hockey sticks are you at my house so late. And who let you out the hospital." I shifted my weight from my left hip to my right.
I examined the beige bandage rap peaking through his shirt. I lifted my left eyebrow.
"Im grown. I do what I want." He flashed one of his rare smiles. He didn't do it often but when he did it was genuine.
"Whatever."
"Plus, my doctor said Im fine."
I hit him in the arm that wasn't fractured.
"You know exactly what she meant by fine."
Scoop watched Luna as she made faces at her stomach telling it to shush. I almost forgot that my baby was hungry.
"Aye go put ya shoes on. We bout to go." At the moment Luna's eyes sparkled.
"Scoopy can we go to get some pancakes?"
"Yeah baby I got you. Come on Angie lets go."
I grabbed all of our belongings, locked down the house and followed behind him. But for some reason before we hit the stairs I couldn't help by glancing at my neighbors door.
"Yo tiny, you good." I guess he saw me looking back and assumed that I left something. I really have to get more slick with this shit.
"Yeah Im straight."
After about thirty minutes of KidzBop, endless hysterical laughter and a couple tears we pulled up at a nice breakfast spot called Suesan's.
Honestly, Tasha talked about coming here all the time, but I could never find it in my schedule. It was a nice cottage looking building with white christmas lights for brightness.
"Woah, whats the special occasion?" Even though the place wasnt extravagant, I could tell that it would be pricey.
"No special occasion, I just like there chicken and waffles. Hospital food gets old after a couple of days."
I looked in the review mirror to see Luna looking sad. "Luna whats wrong."
She whipped her eyes as they started turning red. "Do they have pancakes Scoopy?"
