Chapter 14

Shawn's POV:

I woke up and looked over to the alarm clock on my bedside table. It was 11:18. I never understood why I woke up so earlier during summer.

While I was brushing my teeth, I remembered that I heard girly sobs from down the hall.

Olivia was always my first concern so I went to her room first.

I lightly opened her room door so I wouldn't wake either her nor Emma.

I looked to Olivia who had puffy eyes. I then noticed the used tissues on her bedside table. I sat at the end of the bed and just admired how beautiful she was.

She was normally the first one up, I guess she was exhausted from the party and crying.

I hope she's okay with whatever happened. Actually, what did happen?

I was in deep thoughts when I felt the sheets start to move.

"Shawn, what are you doing in here?"

Olivia's POV:

I woke up to Shawn sitting at the foot of my bed.

"Shawn, what are you doing in here?" I questioned him.

"I heard someone crying last night, and you were the first one I checked on. I made the assumption it was you, due to your puffy eyes and all of the tissues" he responded.

"Yeah... It was a pretty bad night." I said slowly.

"Do you mind if I ask what happened?"

"Maybe later Shawn, I feel like I'll burst into tears again if I tell you right now."

"Okay..., well I think we're going to the beach today, so I'm going to get ready and grab something to eat. Olivia, please don't cry anymore. You're too beautiful to cry. The a*shole who made you cry must be very stupid."

"Thank you Shawn, I'm gonna get ready also, I'll see you later."

Shawn was always so caring for everyone. I think that's why everyone feels as if they can talk to him about everything.

Skip to beach.

I still wasn't in a very happy mood. Me and Lexi started off on the bad foot, but I believe her.

Why would she lie when she had nothing to lose. She kept constantly asking me if I was okay until I put on headphones and just laid on a beach chair.

Everyone seemed to be having a good time... Even Sam. They were all in the water as I sit up here alone.

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. A few minutes later, I felt water or something falling on me.

It couldn't be raining. It was super sunny. I took off my glasses to see Shawn.

"Oh hey Shawn, since you're up here, can you put some tanning oil on my backside?"

"Sure" his eyes lit up, which was the cutest thing

"Thanks Shawn, go have fun with the others!"

"I guess I will, but are you sure you're gonna be okay?"

"I'm sure Shawn. I promise I won't do anything stupid" I replied, giving a small smile.

After he walked away I put my headphones back in and sunglasses back on.

I was slowly dazing off until someone shook my arm. I opened my eyes to see Sam...

"Hey can we talk please?"

"Sam, I think we already discussed this."

"Please, just listen?"

"Fine, make it quick."

I sat up and followed him further away from the others.

"Olivia, please forgive me... Please. Let's just go back to normal."

"No Sam, are you kidding me??!" I was starting to feel angry again.

"If you actually wanted me, you wouldn't have kissed Lexi!"

I can feel him get angry also. He clenched his jaw and stepped closer to me.

"You know what? Forget you. You're a little whore. You are already letting other guys touch you!" He shouted at me.

"Are you mad because Shawn put tanning oil on me? You're pathetic. We aren't together anymore Sam! Get that through your head! I can do what I want! Also, I'm the whore? I was the one that kissed another person while I had a girlfriend?"

He obviously was now furious...

He shoved me down so hard into the sand. I felt a sharp object stab into my hand. I looked down to see a piece of glass that was about 2 inches long. I've had it with Sam. He was the official a*shole.

While I was getting my things to leave, I heard a small voice.

"Olivia... What happened? I heard someone say. I couldn't make out the voice due to the waves crashing.

I turned around to see Shawn. I decided to let someone else into my life besides Emma especially now that Johnson is always hanging out with Kylee. I normally don't tell my problems to a lot of people.

"Come with me Shawn?"

"Of course"
