Bad news this is the last chapter. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. It was a little rough not getting any feed back but I still wanted this out there cuz the original author is amazing. So amazing that they actually wrote a second book to this so good news is I'll be sharing that soon. I'll put a little teaser at the end of this and hopefully someone will give some feedback. Anyways look for the second book Fortune.

"What are we watching tonight Dinah?" Normani asked from her place in the wingback chair in her living room.

After listening to Aaron Day gossip about Lauren, Camila was grateful for movie night at Normani's house. She was happy to have a glass of wine in her hand and her closest friends surrounding her.

"The Notebook," Dinah responded, which elicited the predictable groan from Normani.

"Seriously, Dinah? Again?"

Dinah shrugged, "I like it, and it's my turn. When it's your turn, you can go pick out some dumb foreign movie that we all have to pretend to read."

"You make us watch this movie when things are going really well or really poorly with your love life. So which is it?" Ally asked, laughing.

Dinah grinned and took a sip of her wine before responding, "It's good. Siope is taking me to dinner on Friday. He won't tell me where, but he told me to dress up."

"Great," said Normani, "At least one of us is in a happy relationship."

"Troy and I are happy!" Ally protested from her side of the couch.

"Troy is in another state. That's not happy, that's sequestered." Normani looked over at Dinah who had a puzzled expression on her face. "Look it up."

Giving Normani a disgusted look, Dinah glanced over at Camila sympathetically, "Have you talked to Lauren?"

"Nope," Camila responded. She didn't want to talk about it right now, and just the conversation surrounding the topic was starting to put her in a foul mood. "Can we just start the stupid movie?"

Dinah put up both hands in surrender, "Oo-kay. Movie it is."

An hour into the movie, Camila's phone began buzzing loudly from where she left it on Normani's kitchen counter. Relieved to take a break from watching the romantic story, she hopped up from her place on the couch and went to pick it up. Shocked by the number on her caller ID, Camila braced herself for the phone call as she answered it. "Lauren? Are you okay? What's wrong?"

"Nice to talk to you too." Lauren said, attempting a joke to cover the awkwardness she was feeling. When Lauren didn't say anything, she sighed and continued, "I'm fine. Listen, I know you said you wanted some space, but I just wanted to hear your voice, I guess."

"Oh." Camila frowned in consternation, aware of her friends' intense scrutiny from their places in the living room.

"Camz," Lauren's voice sounded soft and gravelly. Camila closed her eyes against the fresh pain of remembering that same voice begging her not to leave even after it stabbed her with its careless cruelty. "Can you- Fuck!- so that premiere party David invited us to- I want you to come with me." Lauren faltered over her words before finishing in a rush.
