Dinner Date

The following morning as Kailin was getting the kids ready for their outing at the zoo she checked her phone to find more comments on her Instagram post from last night. Her friends were all gushing over the fact that she got to meet Jeffrey and take a picture with him. As she scrolled through she saw a comment from none other than Jeffrey himself. It read 'The most adorable kids in the world, it was a pleasure to meet them and their beautiful Mum, Jdxo'.

"OMG! Lace!" she called out to her friend.

"Yeah babe?" Lacey said as she came rushing in to the living room, thinking something was wrong.

"Look at this... Jeffrey saw our Instagram post!"

"No shit!" she whispered so Oscar didn't hear. "What did he say?" she asked excitedly. Kailin passed her the phone so she could read the comment. "Awww that is so sweet! He is such an awesome guy" Lacey gushed.

"I know right. I'm so glad we went yesterday. It was just what I needed". She said as she put on Maddison's jacket. "Right my babies... are we ready to go to the zoo?" she asked excitedly.

"Yay! The zoo!" Oscar squealed with delight.

"Let's get going then buddy" Lacey grinned as she took the little boys hand and they headed down to her car.

Oscar was having so much fun at the zoo, naming all the animals and teaching his little sister what noises they made as she slowly totted along behind him. Kailin made sure to take plenty of photo's, after losing A.J she knew that every moment was precious and the one thing that kept her going was the kids. Making memories with them is what made her happy. After a quick stop for lunch they continued on through the zoo, and Oscar was delighted when he got to feed the Giraffes. When they came up to the tiger's den Maddie excitedly squealed "Kitty! Kitty!" and Lacey managed to capture it on video. When they had made it all the way around the zoo, the kids were very tired and Maddie had fallen asleep in her Mum's arms. Bundling them in the car, they headed back to Lacey's apartment.

"Lacey... I have a message request" Kailin said in a confused tone as she stared at her phone in shock.

"From who...?"

"@jeffreydeanmorgan"

"Are you serious?"

"Deadly"

"What are you waiting for!? Accept!" Lacey laughed. Kailin hit accept and the message appeared, she sat in silence as she read it to herself. "Well? C'mon, what does it say?" Lacey asked desperately.

"This has to be a joke" Kai stated simply.

"What, why? Tell me, read it out girl I'm dying here!"

"It says, 'Hey Kailin. It was really nice meeting you and your little family yesterday, I hope you all had fun at Comic-Con. This might be a little weird and I hope you don't think I'm being too forward, but I was hoping I could take you out to dinner tonight? Jeff xx'"

"Omg, you're kidding?"

"Nope"

"And it's definitely him?"

"I dunno. I guess... it's from his official insta".

"You have to go!" Lacey insisted.

"What about the kids?"

"Girl, I can watch them. It's no problem. You cannot pass this up! It's a dinner date with Jeffrey Dean freaking Morgan!"

"What if it's just a pity date, coz he feels bad that I lost my husband?" Kai asked.
