My Girl

Jeff spent most of the night with his arm around Kai, introducing her to all the other cast members, referring to her as 'my girl' which made her blush furiously and he thoroughly enjoyed it. He took every opportunity he could to steal kisses, or press one to her cheek or temple and Kai loved it.

Everyone was so friendly and welcomed her as part of their little family and enjoyed getting to know her. While Jeffrey was chatting to Norman and Danai, Kai was sitting with Andy and Lauren.

"So you guys met at Comic-Con? That's so cute" Lauren gushed.

"It's crazy really. One day I was meeting my celebrity crush and the next day he was asking me to dinner" Kai blushed.

"Aww you had a crush on him?" Lauren giggled. "Too cute".

"Who wouldn't have a crush on him?... Jeff is such a lovely guy. Always so happy and friendly, but I don't think I've ever seen him as happy as when he's with you" Andy commented.

"Really?"

"Yeah. I mean have you seen the way that man looks at you?" Andy chuckled.

"She's probably too busy looking at him the exact same way" Lauren teased.

"What way is that?"

"I don't want to sound all cliché but he kinda has this sparkle in his eye when he looks at you" Andy laughed. "And he's always stealing glances, he can't keep his eyes off you... like right now"

Kai glanced over to see Jeff looking at her, his smile widening as their eyes met.

"That's the look" Andy smiled. "He adores you".

"The feelings mutual" Kai grinned.

When Norman brought out a massive chocolate cake he lead them all in singing happy birthday to Jeff who grinned happily with Kai under his arm before blowing out his candles.

"Speech!" Andy yelled out, encouraging everyone to join in.

"Alright... alright" Jeffrey laughed. "First of all thanks everyone for being here tonight to celebrate with me. Y'all are my family and it's an absolute pleasure working with you guys. And a big thank you to Norman for making tonight happen. You are the fucking best Bubba!" He grinned. "Thank you for organizing not only an awesome surprise party, but organizing the absolute best surprise present ever and flying my girl here" he said as he planted a kiss to Kai's temple. "Kai Darlin, thank you for walking into my life and making me happy beyond belief" he smiled making her blush before pressing a kiss to her lips and the whole room cheered and wished him a happy birthday.

As the night grew late and everyone had left it was just Norman, Jeff and Kai. Norman had drank a few too many beers and was a little worse for wear so Jeff made sure he got off to bed okay as he was still rather sober.

"C'mon Darlin, let's get you home" he grinned, referring to the house he owned right next to Norman's that he used during filming. "I'm so glad you came tonight".

"I wouldn't have missed it. Did you have any idea?"

"Not a fucking clue Darlin. You and Bubba are sneaky. Best surprise ever".

"You're surprisingly sober" she observed as he led her in to his house.

"I went easy on the drinks" he told her. "Coz I knew from the second I saw you that I wanted to ravage the hell outta you tonight" he chuckled.

"I'm glad I'm not the only one" she laughed as she practically jumped into his arms and he carried her down to his bedroom. Falling on his bed in a heap, they kissed each other passionately, desperately tearing off their clothes, longing for that skin to skin contact they had both craved all night.
