Cameron had been in a coma for 6 months now. I visited him every single day. Nearly every week the boys came to see him and his mom tried to make it down as much as she could.
"Hey Audrey. How's Cameron." I said to the receptionist.
"The same as usual." She sighed, and then looked at the bouquet of flowers. "I never understood why you brought those." She pointed to them.
"Just incase." I smiled. "Just incase." I repeated as I walked to his room. "Hey cam." I smiled as I went over to the bedside table.
I took out the flowers that I had put the day before and threw them in the bin. I then replaced them with fresh ones.
"How's things?" I asked waiting for a response. Nothing. "One of these days you'll respond." I sighed.
"Amber." A voice whispered. I frowned. "Amber." It repeated. I looked up to see Cameron's eye's open.
"Cameron!" I ran to his bedside with the biggest smiled on his face.
"Listen babygirl." Cameron smiled fragilely. "I'm tired." He sighed.
"Okay. I'll leave you to sleep." I got up.
"No. No. I'm tired of living." He choked.
"W-what do you mean?" I asked my eyes welling with tears.
"I'm bored of fighting. It's so tiring. My time here's up and The Lord needs me." He frowned.
"No. No. Cameron please. I'll change! I'll do whatever you want!" I started crying.
"Don't cry. I'm tired of just being here just to make people happy. It hurts." Cameron breathed in.
"W-what am I gonna do!!?" I screamed.
"Just take care of it." Cameron took another heavy breath. "Of the baby." He then closed his eyes.
The heart monitor went dead.
"NO! CAMERON PLEASE DONT LEAVE ME!" I screamed as two nurse grabbed me. "NO! GET OFF ME! I NEED TO BE WITH HIM!" I started kicking and yelling.
