"So,"Pidge said, after taking a sip of water, "You were acting off yesterday."
"What do you mean?" He asked, as his fork clinked against the bowl of cereal. I need to get a spoon. He had accidentally grabbed a fork, and he refused to give in when Shiro teased him about it, so here he is, eating cereal with a fork. His older brother was at work at the moment, so he could switch it out, but that'd be admitting defeat.
"You actually stayed downstairs for once. Normally when people come over you stay up in your room," Pidge pointed out.
"Well, maybe I'm feeling extroverted for once," Keith guesses.
Pidge laughed, "As if."
Keith checked Pidge's bracelet real quick. It was green. They pronouns, Keith told himself. Shiro got Pidge that as a birthday present a little while ago, after they came out as genderfluid, because they got tired of having to tell everyone their pronouns every other day.
"Still. Why?" they ask.
"Why do you need to know?" Keith asked.
"Cause I'm curious, can't people have curiosity for fucks sake?" They ask.
"Usually there's a reason behind curiosity.," Keith pointed out.
"Yeah, its the fact that you, Keith, the textbook definition of aggressively introverted, decided to stay downstairs, for almost three hours, not against his will," They list.
Keith clicked his fork down to his bowl in annoyance.
"Why are you eating cereal with a fork anyway?" they ask, readjusting their glasses.
"Cause I refuse to admit defeat," Keith admitted. Pidge raised and eyebrow, but knowing Keith, they must've got a general idea of what was happening.
"Back on topic, why are you so involved all of the sudden?" They questioned.
"Maybe I think Lance is cute?" Keith's mouth blurted out before his brain had a chance to stop that. "Fuck," he muttered under his breath as he realized what he just said.
Pidge raised an eyebrow suggestively, then an evil smirk grew on her face. "You're into Lance," she teased.
"No, I just think he's attractive," Keith protested, which, to be honest, didn't help him much. It was true though. His muscular but lanky build, his white smile, his cute little curls, his midnight-blue eyes, it was crazy how he didn't have a girlfriend or boyfriend. Shiro had told him this morning the story of how Lance tried to hit on him.
"So would you like to screw him, yay or nay?" They ask. For an asexual, Pidge talks an awful lot about other people's sex lives. They have no boundaries when it comes to that kind of thing. It's kind of weird.
"Yay. I mean, nay. I mean—" He was cut off by Pidge.
"I'm telling Hunk, give me a moment." They said, and dashed up the spiral staircase. After what sounded like Pidge yelling, Hunk being upset about being woken up, but then the two of them discussing something, they came downstairs, Hunk still in his pajamas.
"A little birdie told me you're into Lance." Hunk said, patting the top of Pidge's head.
"Screw you," Keith said to Pidge.
"Nah, but I bet you'd rather screw Lance anyway," they tease.
He rolled his eyes. "Why is everyone talking about me screwing Lance? I don't even know him that well!" Keith grumbled.
"Technically only Pidge is talking about you and Lance doing the do." Hunk clarified.
"Well, we're seeing him later anyway, he needs to get some stuff for his apartment like an actual bed and stuff," Pidge started. They raised their eyebrows mischievously. "Maybe," they paused for dramatic effect, "you could make a move."
