Keith looked up at the wall, and back at the can of spray paint, the metal shining in the small crack of July sun that could squeeze through the shadows of the alleyway. It was a rare occurrence, a sunny day, happens about once every other week or so. Usually on sunny days is when people walk around and have parties and paint out in the streets. Most people get work off on sunny days, it's a city-wide holiday.

"Oh, hey Kogane," a familiar voice from the other side of the shaded hallway.

"Axca. Ezor," Keith stated, looking back. There was two familiar faces, the dark-skinned girl with the pink and yellow ponytail, swinging high and long, and the pale girl with the short purple hair.

"You haven't been here in a while," Ezor commented, leaning against the brick wall in the alleyway.

"Well, you know, I have a life and stuff," Keith pointed out as he started shaking up a spray can.

"Yeah, but you haven't been here in two months, Kogane," Axca stated.

"So? I've been busy. My roommates got a new friend and have been dragging me out on all of their adventures," Keith stated. He didn't mind Lance's company, but he knew that they would tease him for the rest of eternity if they learned Keith had a crush. No, not a crush, He scolded himself, I just think he's attractive.

"Well, what you guys want to paint?" Ezor asked, violently shaking up a can of spray paint, "I was thinking just attack the wall with colors until we come up with an idea."

"Not surprised that's what you want," Axca stated, but shrugged and picked up a can of spray paint, haphazardly spraying at the bricks an outline of something. Keith set down his can of Coca-Cola and joined in, grabbing the black that they started to outline a figure in.

As they worked, Ezor and Axca talked, and Keith just listened, humming a tune to himself. "Yeah, I'm thinking of getting a stripe of orange," Ezor commented, swaying her long straight ponytail. "Right at the end," She pointed to a stripe-less spot in her ponytail.

"Any reason why?" Axca asked.

"I dunno, orange is cool." She set down a can of spray paint, and picked up a new one. "You ever going to dye your hair again, Kogane?" She asked.

"No," Keith stated a little to firmly.

"Aw, come on, you looked adorable with your white hair and the red tips!" She exclaimed.

Keith cringed as memories of when he had white hair returned. When he first started hanging out with Ezor and Axca, and their other friends, Narti, Zethrid, and Lotor, they had all pressured a seventeen year old Keith to get his hair dyed. Shiro ended up disapproving, but ended up giving into the trend himself, and proudly wore a white streak of hair.

"Please stop reminding me of when I was seventeen, it's embarrassing," Keith complained.

"Fine," She gave a defeated sigh. "Hmm, I thought Zethrid would be here by now," Ezor pointed out, a small amount of disappointment recognizable in her tone.

Keith took another sip of soda, and shrugged. He didn't know what the romances were between the four girls, as they changed once a week. Last time he checked, Ezor and Axca were dating, and Zethrid kept trying to flirt with Ezor. They all casually date each other, usually the dating is ninety percent sex and ten percent actually doing romantic things.

A meow was heard from the distance, one low pitched and familiar. "Hey, Narti!" Axca said, and smiled. Narti gave a friendly wave back, her service animal Kuvo sitting on her shoulder. Narti had on sunglasses, hiding her gray eyes, glazed over due to being blind. She was never a painter, due to being born blind, but she was a natural born musician.
