Whitney POV

I cracked open my eye and flinched when that beam of light that smack me in the face. I was sore. In my arms, legs, neck, everywhere. I didn't want to move. I wanted to stay in this position for the rest of my life. I heard a noise come from beside me and it took me three minutes to turn my neck.

"Hey, sweetheart." Michael said.

"Hey." I said hoarsely. All the tears and pushing her out really took a toll on me.

"How you feel?" He asked after I slowly turned on my side to face him.

"Sore, tired." I answered closing my eyes.

"Susan came a little while ago and changed your pad again." He informed me. I felt his hand run over my hair.

"How come I didn't feel it?" I asked opening my eyes.

"I don't know." He reached down and gave me a stick. "Randy kept his word and gave us these."

I couldn't help but giggle. Michael was so cute. Especially the toothy smile. He put the stick back down and sat back in his chair. We stared in each other's eyes, soaking up each other's love. He looked so upset but happy at the same time.

"I love you, Michael." I said quietly.

"I love you, too, baby. I will always love you." He said leaning in and gave me a passionate kiss.

"How's Jasmine?" I asked after he pulled away.

"I don't know." He said with a sigh. "I'm waiting to hear from Susan."

"I cried all night." I informed him.

"I did, too. Because of Jasmine and because I was worried about you." He said.

The more I thought about it the more it made me shed tears. Michael just stared at me with sorrow in his eyes. I need to stop crying. Jasmine was going to be fine. I knew she was going to be. Mikey leaned down and wiped the tears as they died down.

"So in a few days you'll be home, and so will our baby." He said with a cute smile.

"I know. Hopefully." I said.

"So you hungry?" He asked giving me my salami stick.

I felt some of my soreness go away as I started moving. I pressed the button on the remote connected to the bed and the bed pushed up into a sitting position. I fixed myself to a sitting position and pulled the blanket up. I didn't want salami but I was really hungry. I refused to eat dinner last night because I was so upset.

Michael unwrapped it a little and handed it to me. He watched me as I took a bite and chewed. It was kind of thick but it will have to do. I know the hospital has food but I don't want that food. I'm in a stubborn stated of mind right now.

Susan walked through the door with a bright smile. Her white teeth was showing so much her gums were also showing. She walked over to me and chuckled.

"Susan, what's up with Jasmine?" I asked warily.

"Well, we hooked her up to the oxygen but not high. Her breathing is coming back in small gasps which is a good sign. She hasn't lost any color. Her pulses are fine. We only need to keep her twenty four hours. By tomorrow morning you'll be bringing you're bundle of joy home." Susan said giving me a kiss on the cheek.

"Are you serious?" Michael asked after relieving his.

"Positive. This happens often. All babies make it in situations like this. Well, at least in my hospital." Susan said with a small chuckle.
