Chapter 10

SKIPS POV

I was having fun dancing with Charlotte. She was a lot like me so we were just being weird and random.  We were laughing like idiots. I decided not to drink because she couldn't. I looked over and saw Beau passed out on the floor.

" Shit charlie we better get this idiot home." She turned and saw Beau

"Damn, okay i'll go tell Kris were leaving and find Sarah and James"

She walked off and I headed towards Beau. I turned him over so he wouldn't choke if he started throwing up. Sarah and James walked over, James helped me lift Beau up and we headed to the car. Charlotte came and unlocked the car, We threw Beau on the left against the window beside James. I sat up front with Charlotte, and we headed home.

The ride home was quiet, I guess we were all tired. We were about 5 minutes from home. Charlotte started driving through the intersection, I looked over and saw the massive truck hit our car. The last thing I heard was Charlotte's scream.

When I came to I looked over, James and Sarah were fine they had pulled me out of the car. The police and ambulance were there. Charlotte and Beau were nowhere to be found. James interrupted my thoughts

" Thank god your okay skip!" Sarah was crying her eyes out.

" Where's Beau and Charlotte?"  That made Sarah cry harder, James hugged her.

" Beau is In the ambulance, he's pretty beat up. There trying to get Charlotte out right now." His face fell. Then I remembered everything that happened. I got up and ran to the nearest cop

" Is she going to be alright?"

" We aren't sure, once we get her out we will be able to give you a better answer." His monotone pissed me off. Two of my best friends are in bad condition, Beau oh my god Beau! I ran to the ambulance and saw him.

" Is he going to be alright?" The paramedic seemed nicer then the cop.

" He should be fine, a broken arm and a hangover probably" He smiled, relief washed over me but not for long.

" WE GOT HER!" I turned and saw Charlottes body fall out of the car, I screamed. The paramedics were on her instantly. The had her on a stretcher and pulled her to the ambulance.

"Can I come please?" The paramedic nodded and I got in. The were frantically working on her, she was alive but barely.

KRISTA'S POV

Luke and I ran into the hospital hand in hand. We got to the front desk and the lady informed us that Charlotte was in surgery, but Beau and the rest were in room 305. We ran there as fast as we could,not saying a word. Jai and Victoria were at home sleeping, I didn't want to worry them. As we turned the corner I saw Skip, Sarah and James sitting outside. Sarah turned and saw us, her face was red and puffy. Tears stained her face, I knew I must look similar. We ran into each others arms and just cried. Luke went and hugged the boys.

" Charlotte is in s-s-surgery, Beau Is f-f-ine, Were all f-f-fine." I pulled away and wiped the tears from her face. She hugged Luke then went to sit with James. I turned and saw skip was almost worse then Sarah. I knelt in front of him, He looked up.

" Kris, It's my fault. I shouldn't have suggested to leave. I should have warned her about the car." Tears ran down his face, He looked down again.

" Skip look at me, this is in no way your fault. We are lucky that you guys are okay. You made the smart call, how could you have known some idiot would run a red light while drunk driving?" I wiped away his tears and tried to hold back my own. I needed to be strong for them. The nurse came out saying Beau was awake, But he did have massive headaches from the alcohol so not to be too loud. We all went in.

" Hi guys" we all murmured our hellos and how are yous. He explained he was fine just a broken arm and a headache. We all hugged him, then Sarah started crying again so James took her for a walk.

"Beau I'm so sorry, if you hadn't come to see us this would have never happened" I looked at the ground and let a tear fall. Luke pulled me onto his lap.

"Krista honestly I don't regret coming here. And this is a great way to pick up chicks!" He chuckled and I smiled

"Why is Sarah so upset?"  He didn't know what happened. I started tearing up Luke explained what happened to Charlotte. Skip burst into tears. I looked at the clock, 7 am.

" Let's go get food, Beau the doctor said your okay to leave whenever. Luke brought you some clothes." I grabbed Skip's hand and pulled him out. I looked back at Luke and he nodded.

" See you boys downstairs"

Skip and I were in the caf poking at our food, neither of us were really hungry. My phone buzzed and I answered.

" Hey Jai, sup?"

" Where are you guys, Victoria and I are the only ones here."

I explained what happened and told him to meet us at the hospital. And to bring new clothes for Skip, James and Sarah. Once I hung up Luke and Beau joined us. Beau was only in a half cast and the doctor said 2-3 weeks and he would be better, That was a relief. Luke sat beside me and kissed my cheek.

" Honestly guys i'm trying to eat, by the way are Victoria and Jai dating yet?" Wow Beau must really be better.

" I dunno but I say by the end of the day for sure. " Everyone chuckled. James had asked Sarah out last night, and Luke asked me a week ago so we were just waiting on Jai to grow a pair. 

We walked up stairs and sat with James and Sarah in the waiting area. Jai and Victoria walked in holding hands.

" haha I told ya" I winked at Beau and he laughed, then he yelled

" Took you long enough Jai"  We all laughed. He gave Beau the finger and threw clothes at Skip and James. Victoria walked over to Sarah handed her clothes and hugged her. They all went to change, and Luke explained what happened to Victoria. Victoria started crying, Jai hugged her and kissed her head. I heard Sarah and the guys coming back.  They sat down and everything went quiet.  It wasn't awkward, just silent. Luke was playing with my hair, It  felt good. All the sudden a doctor walked in, everyone sat up straight.

" Are you all here for Miss Charlotte Jones?" We all nodded. " Im afraid I have some bad news...."
