Jimin was eager, but he was also excited to get back to school. Hopefully in a few more days, he'd have himself a job.
He pulled his hoodie over his head again and tucked his tiny fingers into his pockets. The wind blew lighter than before, which made Jimin shake a little.
Then he saw that yellow bus approaching him. Moving swiftly, but carefully among the smoggy road. The boy was thrilled to see the bus finally arrive, not to mention he started the get the sniffles.
"Good morning Jimin! Still pretty chilly isn't it?" The female bus driver stated as the younger got stepped foot onto the bus. She always grinned, no matter the weather. She would still greet every passenger.
"Morning." Jimin replied as he looked around for Jungkook.
Oh no. He's not here. I wanted to apologize.
Jimin sat himself down onto his normal spot, right beside Jungkook's; but with no one to talk to him.

The elder went to school.
He still hadn't seen Jungkook.
He didn't talk to anyone. He couldn't ask where Jungkook could've been.
Jimin was worried. The last time he saw Jungkook was yesterday and he didn't even want to talk to him.

Dear mommy, how are you enjoying heaven? Did you see grandpa? Dad got a promotion at work and...he remarried. I'm so sorry I didn't tell you sooner. I just didn't know he would move on so fast. I miss you. I love you, Your Little Kookie <3

Jungkook had skipped school.
His father would be furious if he found out. Hopefully the school hadn't called already.
-slam-
Jungkook quickly closed his diary and shoved it into his hiding place. "It's okay, Kyungsoo and his son are both out. Just sit them onto the couch." Jungkook heard his stepmother say.
The boy stayed in his room quietly, until he heard the phone rang from downstairs. Jungkook's heart started to race. He prayed it wasn't his school.

"Yes, this is his mother." She paused as she looked at her mother. "He's not there? B-But I saw him outside for school this morning."
Oh man, she knows!
Jungkook knew he was in trouble. He ran downstairs in his pajamas as spotted his stepmother on the phone. "Hi."
The boy's step grandmother gave him an ugly ass stare. "Boy, why aren't you in school. My goodness Jennie, your husband has a troubled son."
Jungkook hated his stepmother's mother. She judged him the first day she met him.
-flashback-
"This is Kyungsoo's son, Jungkook. He's 12 years old." Jennie said with her beautiful smile, showing off her dimples.
Jennie's mother looked down at the young boy. "This child? This is what Kyungsoo calls a child. He looks like a dumpster baby. Why does he look like he hasn't slept in days?"
Little Jungkook felt himself about to cry. He wanted his mother. His real mother. She hated Jennie's family already. The boy wiped his tears before anyone could see them.
"His mother died 2 years ago, mother. Please don't say hurtful things to him." Jennie defended her stepson. She could feel how hurt he felt just by holding his hand.
-flashback ends-
"I felt sick so I came back home. Please don't tell my dad." Jungkook begged as he chewed on his bottom lip.
Jennie's mother was about to speak, but was interrupted by her. "Don't worry, just go back to your room and rest. I'll be there in a minute with warm soup."
The boy was surprised that he didn't get in trouble for skipping. He bowed and walked upstairs to his room silently.
