This story deals with thematic elements like gore, death, corrupt governments, and disturbing creatures. If any of these things bother you, it is advised that you do not continue.
You should know that I don't intend to write a novel designed to give people sweet dreams and warm feelings. EVER. I don't believe in fantasy that incredibly deluded. I do, however, believe in works of fiction that in some way can imitate the harshness of reality. My intention with everything I write is to make people think. Think about the world you're living in, how it compares, what you need to be worried about, etc. It is my sincere hope that I give you nightmares. At least then I'll know that what I've written has a definite impact on my readers. In a way, I am sadist, and I suppose that's reflected to a certain degree in my work.
If you don't like it, don't read it. Go read something with a brainless cookie-cutter plot and forget you ever saw my book.
On the off chance that you're like me, then please continue. But don't say I didn't warn you.
