Gene's POV
What happened yesterday was kept a secret. Y/n doesn't know anything. Today, we're heading to the mall. Aphmau is coming with me and Y/n.
"Aphmau, don't say a word about yesterday okay?." I said.
"Don't worry I won't." she said.
I face-palmed. I know this will not end up good.
"Sorry! I had to change into my casual wear than going to the mall in my pj's." Y/n said smiling.
"Okay good! Let's go!." I said signaling Aphmau to go to the car.
Everyone heads in and we drive right away to the mall. As we entered the mall, Y/n scans the area.
"Is there a problem Y/n?." Aphmau asked.
"No. Not really. Just...Happy that's all." She said smiling.
"Are you sure?." I asked her placing a hand on her shoulder, smiling with sympathy.
"Yes."She said smiling and hugging me.
"thank you for everything.." she added.
"Okay. Let's get the groceries." Aphmau said.
Aphmau dragged all of us to the grocery department. We were given lists on what to buy so yeah. We split up and meet at a certain point.
For now, I'm getting the meat. Why does it have to be the meat?
"Fish."I stare at the list.
" Fish. " still staring at the list.
" FISH!. " I say a little louder.
Someone places a hand on my shoulder and I look at that person, yelling...
" 2+2 IS EQUAL TO FISH!!!!."
I see Y/n stand still in shock.
" Are you okay bro?." She asked.
"Fish!!." I said again.
Y/N's POV
God.... What's his problem?
"What's with the fish?." I asked.
"Fish." He said.
Welp. He's broken.
"Okay fish, Let's go." I said dragging him but he stops.
"I ain't no fish." He said in a sassy tone.
"Bro. If you're not gonna shop for the meat, let me handle it." I said holding his list.
"Here. You can shop for the cereals and vegetables. Now shoo." I said pushing him away.
"I'll handle this myself." I said as he finally leaves.
"As always..."
I scan around the freezers and fridges for the required meat and yes, There was a strange fish. A fish with big eyes which has a small body. Welp. Fish is fish. I picked up the required fish and went to the counter, Eventually meeting my brother with the cereals and vegetables. I sighed.
"You sure have problems with fish." I said as he spots me.
"Yeah.... It was just weird!." He said.
"Hey guys! Could you please help me with this." Aphmau said as she had a full cart.
"What did you get?!." I asked helping her.
"Well.... It was what Travis picked for out planned day out and sleep over." Aphmau said.
Suddenly, she shuts up.
"Sleep over?!." I asked.
"Yes.." Gene said face-palming.
"Oops... Sorry." Aphmau said.
"Aphmau you daughter of a--." Gene was about to cuss but I stomp on his foot.
"Ow! IRENE!." Gene screams in pain.
"No cussing." I said.
"It's better to avoid violence." I added.
"Peacemaker." Aphmau scoffed.
"Oh hush honey. You know I'm right." I said making Aphmau move back.
"Why did you have to do that!?."Gene asked.
"Just flexes." I said.
As soon as we paid everything, we left the mall and head back home. Although, Gene was upset that I stepped on his foot, he still tries to keep in his anger. Sooner or later, Dante approaches me.
"Sis. What happened with Gene?." He asked.
"A glacier fell on his feet." I said.
"Dude. It's summer." Dante said unamused.
"I stepped on his foot to avoid violence." I said.
"But what you DID WAS violence." Dante pointed out.
"Eh." I said.
I mean he does really deserve it right? I mean cussing was his thing but I know what Aphmau can do when she's extremely right.
I gave in. I sighed and walked to Gene. He was currently taking all the Groceries out of the paper bags.
"Hey Gene.." I said rubbing my arm nervously.
He didn't answer.
"I'm sorry..." I said.
"I.. I didn't mean to.. Hurt you like that. I didn't know what came over me to do that.." I said looking at him.
He still didn't answer.
"Gene.." I said walking to him.
"Gene..." I tried to place a hand on his shoulders but he moved away.
"I'm sorry... I tried to understand you sis, But you're getting out of hand. I can't take this anymore. Is this how we're going to Live? You treating me like as if I wasn't family? Oh please sister. You know that you have no right to do that to me. I tried to help you in your need and look! You're being this girl?. " he asked.
" Gene... I.. "
" No.. It's enough. You have to choose... Be this girl you are right now and I'll ignore you or if you talk and act less, I'll not ignore you. "He said.
" Talk Less and Smile more... "
