Lucinda's POV
I was outside of the cave wondering where could Gene be? I went back inside the cave.
"We could use the spell to destroy the magic protected in that book...but.. It'll cost much.." Nana said.
"From what I heard, it's hella dangerous..." Dante said with concern laced in his voice.
I walked to them. They spotted me and kept quiet. I sat back down on my bed, lingering for answers. Something clicked in my head.
"W-what if, it's just the oldest spy trick in the world?." I said standing up.
"Huh? Oldest----Spy Trick? Wait what do you mean?." Zane asked.
"If the Babington code was used in 1586, there could be a slight chance that we can find out the clues by just rubbing a pencil on the pages?." I said gesturing with hand gestures.
"That's just ridiculous." Dante said.
"There is no such thing as 'just rubbing a pencil on the pages'. I think you've watched too many Ducktales episode and I mean the rebooted Ducktales show." Dante pointed out.
"No. You see, if the code was made in 1586 and there were some codes used in ancient writings, there could be a chance that the civilization before have leveled up---not saying that they didn't but they did. Someone or something, wrote a message in that very book that was written in Babington code which was used in the 15th century. Someone wanted to write and decode something for us. "I said.
" We decoded the message,but what else could we do..?."Dante asked.
" Don't you get it?. "Nana said walking to my side.
" In the early centuries like 1586, spies were all around the world to find out secrets from militaries and stuff. The Americans used it before to find out whatever the Germans were planning during the disputes. Which were used against them. " Nana added.
" Oh yeah, the military had use for different codes at that time, it was called the Morse Code. Some used Polybius square, pig pen code, Babington code and Zigzag writing," Dante said.
Zane was still clueless," Wait wha---. "
" Okay, if an old man had a rare and ancient thing and it showed itself after some years and it appeared today. Wouldn't that mean that someone kept it for the right people to find?. "Dante said, trying to explain to Zane.
" Still Being Confucius right now. "Zane said.
" Confucius is way smarter than you Zane. Never compare yourself to him."I said, crossing my arms.
" I'll handle this. "Nana said pushing us both away from Zane.
" It was moved around Zane! Someone found the book and Decoded it. The added the babington and the ancient codes together which made us confused-----and I mean not Confucius. IT WAS MOVED AROUND!."Nana told him.
" Okay okay... I get it... Jeez I got it from the very start... "Zane said.
We all rolled our eyes. Zane always loved our face of annoyance and anger, but when it comes to Nana, he stops because he know he just bursted Nana's Balloon.
" I-I'm sorry... "Zane apologized.
" Of course you are. " Nana said sarcastically.
" Nana... "Zane sounded regretful.
" I'm going to do it Zane. I'm going to help find Y/n.... It's either you join me... Or leave me... "Nana said
" Nana... We can ju---. "
" We have to find her! She might be in grave danger!. "Nana said with anger lacing in.
" How sure are you that we can find Y/n before anything else happens?? We don't even know the whole plot of the fifth person. Hell! We don't even know his identity!. "Dante said.
They were rambling while I was busy rubbing the tip of the pencil on the blank pages. More words were seen. I did the same to the rest and received the some results.
" You know that we will lose you!. "Zane retorts.
" Guys. " I tried getting their attention.
" We aren't even sure about finding her!. "Dante said.
" For one blazing second, will you guys SHUT UP!!!. "I said as my eyes glowed white.
They all shut up. Then look down.
I sighed," Check this out. More words. "
They began to swarm the book.
" Weird.. "Dante said.
" Word. "Zane said acting like a rapper.
I rolled my eyes and began to read..

For years have I been searching for this book and alas I found it. Do not worry about magic works. I weakened the spell for you. But beware, The person you have seen in this book is somewhat Destructive. The story goes on in the other pages. Do stay together because the people you are with are your only hopes left.
