The REDS of war

Volume Three Chapter Two

Rei sits in anticipation, staring down into the battlefield, watching Pyrrha above all else. "Come on Pyrrha." He mutters.

The ready of the team sit in the stands watching team JNPR standing on the stage just before their battle as

"3... 2... 1..." professor Port says from his booth.

"Come on guys!" Jaune cheers his team.

"Begin!" Port says.

After the match finishes Rei grins, staring at Pyrrha. The rest of the team remained seated, waiting for the next match, while Rei slinked away, a notification appearing on his eye from Ozpin. Dusk rolls his eyes as he watches the arrival of team SSSN (Season) as they're ready for their match against Team NDGO.

"Well, that was... something." Erin mutters.

"I feel like any of us could've handled either team alone." Dusk mutters.

"Probably. Anyways, I'm tired I'm gonna go take a nap." Erin says.

"I know how ya feel night guys." Sky says wandering away with him.

"I'll see you guys later." Dusk says offhandedly while staring into the sky his eyes affixed to a ship incoming. "Ah, that's nice, she's here."

Weiss, and Ruby both run towards where a ship landed, shortly followed by Dusk with a smile. Ruby didn't know what this was about, however her partner, and friend both seemed genuinely excited.

"Weiss, what's the big deal? Who is it? Who is she?"

Dusk steps onto the landing speaking with a genuine soft smile. "Winter."

"Wait... Weiss' sister?"

Weiss ignores Ruby, shouting her sisters name she runs forward. "Winter!" The two girls ran towards Weiss' big sister as Dusk slowly made his way to her. "Winter! I'm so happy to see you!" Weiss speaks like a child seeing a friend before she properly corrects herself. "Oh, your presence honors us."

"Beacon, it's been a long time. The air feels... different."

Ruby squirms. "I mean it is fall so it's probably colder..."

Weiss punches Ruby in the back before resuming to talk with Winter. "So, what are you doing here?"

Dusk grins. "Classified?"

Winter nods. "Classified."

"Oh, right. Well, how long are you staying?"

"Classified." Dusk and Winter answer in unison, the pair lock eyes.

"Of course." Weiss says lowering her head.

"Well, this is nice... I think." Ruby says.

Weiss regains her cheery demeanor. "You're going to love it here! I know you travel a lot, but so much of Beacon is different from Atlas! Vale, too. The government and school are completely separate! Can you believe it? I..."

Dusk chuckles. "I'm pretty sure she's more than familiar with how this kingdom handles its bureaucracy."

"He is once again correct. But that is not why I came."
