You wake up in your bed.
It's nearly noon and you've been sleeping. The curls in your hair have un-curled and there are flowers all over. You were sleeping in the remains of the dress from last night, still very ripped, and wet with tears. Marshall must of carried you in here. You get up and change into a unicorn t-shirt and jeans. You pick the rest of the flowers out if your hair and brush it out gently. Your doorbell rings. God, why are people up so freakin early in the morning!?
You answer it drowsily, and find Fionna. Cake isn't there, she's probably with Lord Monocromicorn.
"Hey! how was your date?" Fionna asked excitedly.
"Um, I'm not exactly sure. He kinda made fun of me." You say, a hint of a cry comes out in your voice.
"Yeah, he totally tricked me into liking him and then pretended to die to make me admit it..." Fionna said, twirling a little piece of hair.
"That's pretty messed up." you say, almost laughing.
"Yeah, guys are weird." Fionna said, quickly adding, "Are you gonna forgive him?"
"I don't know yet. I'm still a little hurt." you lied, you were still a lot hurt.
"Well, sorry he acted so jerky." Fionna said.
"It's fine, it's not your fault." you say sincerely.
Fionna leaves, and you start to cry. You thought Marshall was the one. You had met other guys, but they all seemed to have crushes on other girls.
You collapsed on the couch, hungry and lonely. You wished Fionna would of stayed. You get up slowly and nake yourself a sandwich. It isnt nearly as good as Cake's. You thought about how Cake would stroke your hair and act like the mom you never had. Once you finish your horrible sandwich, You cry yourself, gently to sleep.
You wake up on the couch. It's pitch black outside, raining, and you've probably been sleeping for ten hours. Crying is tiring. You hear a knock on the door, probably gumball. He usually did experiments late into the night and asked for your help. You open the door to find Marshall, soaking wet, his black hair plastered to his face. He opens his mouth to speak, but says nothing. You sigh and say with tears in your eyes,
"Look, I know your a player. But its not cool to just call someone names like that. My past was hard, okay? I just think-"
Marshall grabs you and kisses you on the lips gently, shutting you up immediately.
You put your arms around your neck and he slowly hovers out into the pouring rain, soaking the both of you. You open your eyes and separate your lips, staring deeply into his red eyes.
"I love you." he says and kisses you again. You don't complain. "I'm sorry. I, I just never thought-"
"Shut up." you say, staring into his eyes. Marshall laughs and it sounds like music to your ears. "I'm sorry I freaked out. Its a sore subject for me."
"It's okay. I say things before I think sometimes. It's stupid." Marshall says, as he flies down to your porch, sitting down with you on his lap.
"Your right, it is stupid."
He looks up at you. First looking shocked, then he sees you were kidding and laughs. You laugh with him. The rain slowly clears and you find yourself looking at the night sky again, decorated with a billion stars.
"Remember the one night I scared the living crap outta you?" Marshall asked.
"Which one? there's been a few." You half laugh.
"Ha ha, very funny. The first time, when you were walking home."
"Oh yeah. I remember." You say, suddenly realizing your shirt is so wet, you can see through it. You blush and cross your arms, hoping to hide it.
"Well, after you started to run, I followed you. I kinda, um, fell in love as soon as I saw you." Marshall said, looking intently into your eyes.
"Uhhhh." you stutter.
Marshall smirked and stood up, and you stood too. He took you into his arms and said "I love you (your name). Don't ever forget it."
You peck him on the lips and he flies into the night sky, singing a song quietly;
"Just gotta, let go..."
