10 years have passed since Dakota and Shanks made port at Dawn Island, where they spent a little over a year meeting a particular person who made their lives interesting. Dakota stayed on Dawn Island until she was 17 before leaving and venturing out alone, making a name for herself.
Currently, Dakota Le Roux is sailing in the open waters of East Blue with a destination in mind and a special person she needs to find. She wishes she could have made it to Foosha Village before her baby brother, Monkey D. Luffy, left, but she was on an assignment. Luffy is the most important person besides her father and family to Dakota, who she vows to protect with her life. Now it's time to find him; it seems to be a long journey she wants to end quickly.

Dakota's POV:
I sit patiently on my little wooden sailboat on the ocean of the East Blue on a crisp early morning, staring into the water below, though slightly fearful of falling in because of my Devil Fruit, which makes it impossible to swim. That's forever a problem when you're a Devil Fruit user like myself and others. I look over the edge into the abyss as the sails catch the light breeze from the northwest, moving the sailboat towards my next destination. It's been a few weeks since I returned to Foosha Village in hopes of catching my little brother before he left, but it was too late as I was on an assassination job. I've been catching up quickly, but it's getting tiresome.

The boat finally moves closer to my next stop, Gecko Island. I can feel butterflies fluttering in my stomach as I look at the area before me. It's where I hope to find my annoying baby brother. I've already had a run-in with an old friend in Orange Town who knew the brat, so it was easy to find out where he was going next. The man said he saw a boy matching my baby brother's description and commented about a woman with orange hair and a man with green hair with him before they left the island.
I raise the hood of my leather black short jacket, hiding my vibrant red hair and face. I have matching leather pants, boots, and a crop top, showing off my toned stomach. I don't want to get noticed by anyone before I reveal myself to my baby brother or get caught by Marines.
