Being a famous OooTube singer had its pros and cons. For Marceline, it seemed that the pros definitely outweighed the cons. After all, it gave her the perfect way to do something she never had the balls to do before. Although she would never admit it, Marceline was terrified of asking Princess Bubblegum out. So when she saw the chance, she took it. She decided that this video would be the video on her channel in which she faced her fears. Marceline recorded the video over a hundred times until she knew the lyrics were perfect. Playing the video one last time before uploading it, she found herself humming along to the tune.

"Oh Bonnibel, I'd give anything to be right next to you

You know that I ain't lyin, no it's true

I know that you said not again, but I wanna be more than friends

Cause Bonnibel, I'm still in love with you."

Letting out a sigh, Marceline pressed the upload button. Now all there was left to do was wait.

Warm rays of sun woke Marceline from her slumber. Actually, warm was an understatement. The light felt like scalding water being poured on her pale skin. Marceline scolded herself for leaving the blinds open. Then she scolded Finn, for it was his fault that her beloved cave now had a skylight. His "battles" with Jake seemed to be getting quite intense.

The Vampire Queen floated over to her computer, secretly hoping the video had failed to upload. Unfortunately, it had. Marceline scrolled down to see the view count only to have her jaw drop in amazement. The number 1525 showed that almost everyone in Ooo had seen it. Hands trembling, she scrolled down even further to the comment section. Just as she had expected,there were numerous angry and confused comments from Ice King and the Candy Kingdom Citizens. Hidden among the other comments was one from Jake. It only had one word.

"Look."

Jake's comment reminded her of something she had noticed before she clicked on her own video. In her following bar,there was a little "1" next to Bubblegum's channel. Nervousness bloomed in Marceline's stomach. In all her years of living in Ooo,she had never felt like this. Muttering profanities to herself,Marceline clicked on her crushes channel. The first video was titled "Marcy". Taking a deep breath,the Queen clicked on it.

The video was nothing fancy. Just four lines on a pink background. But those four lines meant everything to Marcy.

"Roses are red,

Violets are blue,

Marceline Abadeer,

I love you too."

Months passed in the blink of an eye,and soon Marceline and Bubblegum were celebrating their anniversary.

"Glob Bonnibel, can you believe it's been a year?" Marcy whispered to Pb as they sat together on the couch. She looked over at the younger girl and leaned in for a kiss. Sugary pink lips met hers, but quickly moved away.

"Marcy, I have to tell you something."

"Sure Bon Bon, tell away." Marcy beamed at her girlfriend.

"Marcy, I can't do this anymore. You know I love you, but Im just so tired of being judged. I hope we can still be friends after this."

It was that moment that the world came crashing down on Marceline. She felt an intense pain in her heart that sent her mind reeling and her eyes brimming with tears.

Standing up, Bubblegum began to speak again. "I cant say that I am sorry. I cannot apologize for something that needs to be done. I hope you understand."

"No. I dont understand." The vampire didnt even try to hide her tears. "Just get out of here, Bubblegum."

The princess flinched at the venom that coursed through Marcelines words, but she did as she was told.

After Bubblegum left, Marceline found relief from her heartache in the bottles of whiskey she kept for special occasions.

The massive hangover that followed the next morning was no surprise. But instead of staing in bed and crying all day, Marceline sat down in her recording chair. She tuned her bass, cleared her throat, and began to sing.

"Roses are red,

Violets are blue,

Whiskey is cheaper,

Than dinner for two."

After she uploaded her soon to be most popular video, Marceline packed up and left Ooo. She returned to the Night-O-Sphere and became a formal queen. Even though her mind was on Bubblegum constantly, She only returned to visit her once. And that day was the day that the only one she had ever loved was buried. The inscription on her grave simply said

"Whiskey is lonlier,

than dinner for two."
