Appearance: Back is long and fairly straight, slightly slanted eyes, highly mobile ears are erect, shoulders are well muscled, round paws have hard and strong pads, neck is long and strong and has no dewlap, yellow, tan or black in color.

   Good with children, good for urban living, thrives in warm weather, easy to train, good with other animals, good watchdog.

History: The Pequeño is simply a miniaturized version of the original Greyhound-sized Grande. Although it wad, and still is, used for flushing small game, the Pequeño has been a city dog for at least three centuries. In his paintings of the poor Selville, Bartolomé Esteban Murillo (born in Seville in 1617) featured dogs that bear a striking similarity to the Pequeño of today.
