Appearance: Mobile ears are large and strongly erect, chest is narrow and deep, short and fuzzy fur on feet, strong neck, variety of colors.

   Good with children, not for urban living, thrives in cold and warm weather, needs lots of exercise.

History: In its native Peru there are a few breeders of the Inca Hairless Dogs. However, some dogs were exported to Germany, where a breed club was formed. The club assisted Peruvian breeders to formulate a standard and obtain FCI recognition in 1985.
