"I'm sorry, Peter."

His jaw clenched and his eye twitched quickly as he chuckled, a low, deep sound. "Can't say I didn't see this coming." A hand came up and rubbed his face exhaustedly.

Seated on the floor with the person he
intended to spend the rest of his life with, Peter trembled and tried to put up a brave face. Margot was shuddering and giving a pitiful look to the boy she once loved. She, of all people, knew that love means nothing when the stakes are this high. If only there was a way to make it not hurt so badly when love is abandoned.

"Do it." Peter commanded. "We both know what you're going to do. So just do it! Get it over with and leave."

The stone eyes he glared with didn't belong on Peter's usual bright face. It hurt that he directed that look at Margot, but it hurt even more that she caused it.

"I hate to see you like this." Margot admitted.

"You started this, now finish it. Show everyone how big bad Margot doesn't need anyone." Margot blinked, shocked. "Do it. Now."

With a gentle, twitching hand, Margot struck the final blow against her love.

"Uno."

Peter and Margot will return in Avengers: Infinity War.
