"Calm down, Kaid. I wasn't going to leave you. Never thought you'd make such a big deal out of it."

"Wha-What?"

"You've never met me before. I'm Luis, Master Bookeeper of the Last Dimension. I've been sent by Princess Tsunaki herself to find a man named Kaid. It's funny for them to say 'man.' You look like a boy to me."

I can see now. This...loo-eezz. She's tall with a blue suit and white scarf nearly covering her whole body. She has black hair and glasses, making it hard to see her eye color. She also has long black boots with...white shoelaces. She even has dark skin. She looks kind of old, but she is pretty tall. I have to be as observant as possible. There's no telling where I am right now or who this woman might be. Now that I see her, it's easy to tell what she is.

"So...how would you that I'm Kaid?" I ask.

"She gave me a description of you. Black hair, golden-brown skin, gray eyes, about five foot two," she explains.

I guess that's how I look. I can't even remember that. Still...I can swear on my life I'm not Kaid. Well, whoever he is, or whoever I am, let's hope it's not a prisoner of somekind.

"Come, Kaid, the princess awaits," Luis commands as she walks away with a flutttering like a bird behind her.

Wait...the book is flying? Where the hell am I now?

There's a lot of grass around from where I'm standing. What I'm standing on looks like hardened sand or something. Eh, it's just a piece of earth. I look around and see trees standing taller than the berry bushes surrounding me.

Kaid. It's the name I'll have to work with for now. I have to catch up with Luis before I'm left in the middle of nowhere. I can observe on the way. Maybe I can get some of my memory back. The problem is: she said I didn't know her. It seemed she didn't know me either. I have a problem with walking around in the mist of confusion with a stranger who is capable of killing me. But I guess I have no choice. I have to see the princess.

I run through the bushes, praying to God I'd find her before she went to far. My prayers quickly answered, I noticed her flowing black hair as she skipped through the bushes, forcing berries to drop on the ground as she lead to said Tsunaki.

I have much to learn about the location I've found myself to be in. "The Last Dimension," she says. Is that where we are, or is that where she's from? Asking all these questions is only but making me weary. I've got to calm my nerves so I can go on. I'll figure it out soon. Asking questions will do me no good. I know what they are. Thinking them over and over is pointless and will only-

"Kaid, what the hell are you doing?" Luis snaps as she turns to check on me.

"I...uh. I was just thinking," I answer honestly.

"About what?"

"Nothing."

"Nothing is not a thought. You must have some reason for staring in the sky."

Wow, I'm thinking so hard, I didn't even realize my own actions.

"You look a little off. I'll let you stay at the library for a while," Luis suggests.

What the hell will the library do for me? Right. Ask questions....
