"What was one of the last things she said to you?" Ladybug asked. Chloe was sitting opposite from her in a grey sweater and clutching onto her diary which matched her sweater, almost camoflauged within the abyss of fur.
"S-She didn't mention to me anything about her leaving. It was a day like any other day." The girl answered. She honestly felt uncomfortable. Like even though she knew Ladybug was just doing her job, it still made her feel out of her comfort zone. In fact, Chloe wasn't even looking at Ladybug, she was just playing with her sweater paws wishing it was over. The blonde didn't want to tell the hero that she felt uncomfortable because she truely wanted to be apart of the investigation but emotionally it was challenging.
Ladybug wasn't dumb to notice that the blonde was uncomfortable and she honestly felt bad. Maybe Marinette would do a better job?
Chloe then got up and walked to her walk-in wardrobe. Ladybug leaned forward to see what the ocean blue eyed girl was doing, but the blunette was at the wrong angle and could barely see anything. The spotted heroine then heard the light switch turn on and footsteps sounding a return. A book looked to be wedged between grey sweater paws.
The blonde haired girl sat opposite the bluebell eyed superhero once again. "I-I k-know y-you read my diary." She said holding her old diary, in which Ladybug immediately recognized the object, in fact, the image of the boy her and her friends used to label as 'tomato' came up into her head. Ladybug almost gasped out loud remembering everything about the red haired boy, one of the only people who got close to the blonde.
Finally Ladybug registered what Chloe had said and finched. "Wait what? I wouldn't -" The spotted hero was cut off by the girl in the grey hoodie.
"There were crumbs in the book. I never eat when I write my diary nor do I keep it where food is. Please don't lie to me. I don't really mind that you read my diary and I don't think you would discuss it with anyone except Chat. "
Ladybug nodded with a soft smile. "I'm glad you trust me."
"I-I think it would be better if you were to read my old diary... it has a lot of information that you might be able to use and you probably already know about my crush on Marinette. I don't really mind if she finds out honestly. I hope Sabrina doesn't find out though, about any of this." The light blue eyed girl pointed towards the polka dotted diary.
The navy haired girl had a slight blush tint on them. When Chloe handed over the diary to Ladybug she smiled and said a small 'thank you'
"Do you mind if I do a flick though now?" Ladybug asked.
Chloe gave a nod along with a shurg.
The hero went into the books flicking though it's pages full of writing and bold crossed out dates in the corner. It was like she was living without even knowing the date.... like she didn't care to live anymore.
Ladybug noticed Sabrina's name written quite a lot this time compared to the previous book. Surely, her mother was mentioned to in there too.
"I'm sorry if I'm a bit to blunt at some stages." Chloe said then breaking the silence, which was quite rare for her to do with most strangers. Although, she felt quite cool to have Ladybug's presence beside her. Some people would kill to be in her position. It made Chloe feel a bit superior for once.
"Oh it's fine. I find your diary's really amusing. Sorry about the breadcrumbs, I won't do anything except jot down extremely important information to do with the investigation from your diary. I hope that's okay with you." Ladybug replied, her bluebell eyes looking into the girls soft baby blue ones.
Chloe nodded. "That's fine, but please don't let Sabrina to find out."
"I won't, I promise."
