After her bath and an early night, Connie was finally feeling ready for the visit to see Nicki the next day. She was beyond nervous as she approached the reception desk, but seeing Nicki's beaming face on the other side of the glass doors seemed to make all her worries disappear.
"I didn't know if you were going to come!" Nicki laughed as Connie entered, being engulfed by the woman opposite her. Nicki's arms pulled Connie closer, pressing her against her chest and Connie couldn't help but smile as she felt the hardened nipples of the other woman poking through the small tank top she was wearing.
"I couldn't leave you, could I?" She smiled, kissing Nicki's cheek in a friendly manner. The other woman slid her hands down Connie's body and daringly squeezed her arse before giving it a playful slap. Connie couldn't help the moan that came from her mouth, and she couldn't help but feel as though Jacob may be right - maybe she would enjoy this after all.
"Let's take this elsewhere, ladies," the officer on duty grumbled, before guiding the two giggling women up to the room. They entered slowly, and Nicki smiled as she walked Connie over the bed, pushing her down upon it softly before climbing above her. Nicki whipped off her shirt swiftly and presented her bare chest to Connie who suddenly felt a little intimidated again, as this woman had such an astounding figure and made Connie feel less confident in her own body. She did notice that Nicki had a new tattoo on her left breast, and looked at it in mild confusion.
"New tat?" Connie asked, and Nicki seemed to blush a little as it was mentioned. "What does it mean?"
"Represents hope, and change and all that, eh?" The tattoo was simply a small butterfly, and Connie found it incredibly sweet. "Actually got it for you," Nicki admitted.
"Me?" Connie asked, flattered for a moment before wondering if Nicki had been serious.
"Yeah, I haven't had hope for a long while but you gave me some, and you always motivated me to make positive change. And it's on my tit so it always reminds me what a good fuck you are too." Connie smiled, taking off her own shirt before reaching forwards and pulling the other woman's hardened nipple into her mouth and sucking on it hungrily. She kissed the other one with equal passion, and Nicki's back curved inwards as she leant into the touch. With a little struggle, Connie managed to unfasten Nicki's trousers, and Nicki did the same, the two women then breaking apart to remove their remaining items of clothing with huge, infectious smiles on their faces.
"You're even more gorgeous than I remembered," Nicki grumbled as she leaned forwards, her mouth latching onto the skin on Connie's stomach and sucking it softly. It sprung back into place as Nicki made her way across the other woman's body, massaging the dips in her waist with her hands, and kissing the smooth skin with her lips.It wasn't too long before Nicki had her three fingers inside Connie, sliding them in and out of her at a relatively fast pace. Connie's legs fell apart and her mouth dropped open as she allowed herself to be utterly consumed by the pleasure. When Nicki leant down to use her tongue as well, Connie's hips bucked into the air.
"Oh, yes Jacob," she moaned, opening her eyes and clasping her hand over her mouth as she did. Nicki stilled inside her, looking down at Connie with a hurt expression on her face.
"I am so sorry," Connie protested, and Nicki slowly slid her fingers out of the other woman, looking at her with mild disgust."What's to be sorry about, eh?" Nicki asked, a little bitterly.
"Don't be like that," Connie begged. "It was just a slip of the tongue. This is all still new to me, and I've been with Jacob for so long."
"Don't sweat, cutie," Nicki shrugged, beginning to pull her clothes back on. "I get it." She left a few seconds later, leaving Connie sat in the room on her own. The officer knocked and entered, and Connie informed him that she would be out in a second - she just needed to get herself changed. She was so upset that she'd hurt Nicki, but at the same time part of her was relieved - it was good to live the fantasy and explore herself, but at the end of the day, Connie only had eyes for one man, and it no longer felt right to be with both of them.
After she got out of the women's prison, Connie went straight over to visit Jacob, as she knew he would be awake from the surgery by now. She was allowed in at Reception, and it didn't take her too long to get to medical. As she saw him, their faces both simultaneously lit up; he was looking so much better than he had done yesterday. Good news was that the surgery went well. The bad news was that he would have to spend at least a week in medical, going to physiotherapy regularly. Connie didn't really see this as a negative thing; in medical, she was able to visit him as frequently as she liked, and it also kept him away from the other prisoners who did this to him in the first place. Connie still couldn't bear to think about him going back - his trial was in just over two weeks, which meant that even with a week spent in medical, he'd have another week to cope with the other inmates.
Connie was forced to leave a little later, as Jacob was tired and she knew he was too polite to ask her to go. He was weary, and his entire body hurt, but Connie had tried her best to soothe him in the short time she was able to spend with him. As he fell asleep, the last thing he saw was Connie's face as the two of them were just staring at each other lovingly. She heard the soft grumbling coming from his lips as he began to snore, and Connie placed her hand gently on his chin, stroking her fingers across it softly.
"I'll find the real killer, baby. Even if I have to interrogate every one of the seven billion people on this earth, I will find them." She kissed his cheek softly before pulling out her notepad and scribbling a note on some paper for him to wake up to. She left him later, after making the doctor promise to take good care of him, and set off home.
With Grace out of the house, Connie could focus all her efforts on bringing down the real killer. She used her bedroom wall to pin up the map of the area, and pin pointed Sam's apartment with a red tack and circled it with a red felt pen. She pinned down suspects with a blue tack - this included her house, and also Emma's house, who was Sam's girlfriend at the time. Connie had always thought she was just after his money, so she was keen on following Emma as a lead, although she didn't think she would truly be capable of such horrific murder. Also, Connie had found out, Sam had had an argument with an ungrateful patient about three weeks before the attack, and the patient was already of interest to the police. She heard that the police had taken the patient in for questioning, but nothing else had come of it. Connie didn't want to rule it out quite as quickly.
With her suspect board up and running, Connie set about making a file on everything she knew about the case. They knew that nail varnish had been used as an accelerant for the fire, and that he had been stabbed with a kitchen knife several times. It was only when she was looking at her timings that she realised how close it had been. The police had suspected from the evidence that they gathered that the attack must have taken place at about half seven, as they found him a few minutes past eight. Connie remembered checking her phone as she left the apartment, and she remembered seeing the time as 19:13. Not that it would be sufficient evidence in a court of law, but it was plenty sufficient for Connie's investigation, as she was weighing up everything she knew to be true. Suddenly, she thought of something. The police said that they had CCTV footage of her entering the apartment; she left the same way, and so in theory, they should have footage of her leaving too. She needed that recording.
As well as trying to identify the killer, Connie also wanted to collect evidence to prove Jacob's innocence, as getting him out of there was actually her main priority. She knew that his story about being drunk and going to his house was complete and utter bullshit, but she didn't know how she could prove that. He went out shopping for her, but when she'd asked what he'd bought, he insisted that he didn't find anything."What shops did you look in?" She'd asked him, trying to see if the shops may have any CCTV footage that showed him to be away from the crime scene at the time of the murder.
"Honestly Con, it was mostly window shopping," he had told her. As far as proving Jacob's innocence went, she was at a bit of a loss. She'd managed to find what part of town he'd been to though, and so she had planned to ask the manager at every single shop if she would be able to have a look at their CCTV.
As Connie stood, facing her suspect board with the post-it's scattered across it, she knew that this wasn't going to be an easy task.
